March madness and the start of the 2011 NCAA college basketball tournament is officially just under one month away from getting started in the BetOnline basketball sportsbook!
Devoted college basketball betting fanatics will get their first taste of March Madness on March 13 when the tournament holds its annual Selection Sunday on CBS. The annual National Championship tournament will hold its final four games on April 2 at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas.

This season, the NCAA has a new television deal in place with its longtime affiliate, CBS Sports and also, Turner Sports which owns TBS, TNT and TruTV. The new television agreement, which runs from 2011-2024, marks the first nationwide telecast of every single March Madness matchup ever.
In 2011, the amount of teams playing in the annual NCAA March Madness tournament increases from 64 to 68 and now, the final four at-large hoops programs and last four automatic qualifiers will play in the new, "First Four" round in order to advance into the traditional 64-team bracket.
After the new "First Four" is complete, the next round (formerly known as the first round) will now officially called the "second round" consisting of 32 games followed by the Sweet Sixteen.
