March Madness Bracket – Stacking Up the East Bracket
February 16, 2011
The NCAA Tournament is almost here, and here at BetOnline Sportsbook, we’re looking at the potential matchups in the East Region of the dance. Check out our March Madness bracket in the East!
1 vs. 16: Pitt Panthers vs. Murray State Racers – The projected OVC champs would really have a case to stick around with Pitt, especially if the Panthers really had a tough time getting through the Big East tournament.
8 vs. 9: Old Dominion Monarchs vs. UCLA Bruins – UCLA would probably love to just be in the field right now, but this March Madness bracket would give it a very, very tough draw against a game ODU squad out of the dangerous Colonial.

5 vs. 12: Kentucky Wildcats vs. Marquette Golden Eagles OR VCU Rams – A bubble duel between VCU and Marquette would be interesting, because it would be raining three pointers all over the place.
Kentucky would be in for a real fight against either team, especially knowing just how bipolar this squad has been. Especially if it’s VCU, Denver, where this game would be played, could make it feel like a road game for the Wildcats.
4 vs. 13: Purdue Boilermakers vs. Utah State Aggies – This wouldn’t be the first time that Purdue had to go up against a team like this in the March Madness bracket. This was the same basic situation the team faced when it took on the Siena Saints not too long ago.
6 vs. 11: Missouri Tigers vs. Richmond Spiders – Mizzou would hate this March Madness bracket, as this is one team that really could slow it down and get it out of its game. The A-10 feels like it pulls off an upset or two like this one every single season, and this wouldn’t be a huge shocker.
3 vs. 14: Connecticut Huskies vs. Belmont Bears – The Bears are going to be a sneaky conference champ out of the A-Sun this year, but when push really comes to shove, Kemba Walker should dominate in a game like this.
7 vs. 10: St. Mary’s Gaels vs. Colorado State Rams – The Rams would probably be one of the last teams to really get comfortably into the field of 68 right now, but we all know just how dangerous St. Mary’s can be. Just ask the Villanova Wildcats from last year.
2 vs. 15: Duke Blue Devils vs. Bucknell Bison – The defending champs would have to come out of the No. 2 hole in the East to return to the Final Four, but this would be a pretty darn easy draw for a March Madness bracket if it were to draw up this way. Bucknell would just be overmatched in every facet of the game, with or without Kyrie Irving in the fold for the Dookies.
No matter how your March Madness bracket is going to look this year, BetOnline is your sportsbook of choice to bet on all of the great college basketball betting action!
