Long Road for Nuggets – Denver at Orlando

NBA BASKETBALL BETTING – Game Match-ups 2/11
Denver Nuggets vs Orlando Magic 7:00 PM

NBA betting action heads to the Sunshine State Wednesday night, where another fantastic sports betting affair will occur when the Denver Nuggets (35-17, 29-22-1 ATS) continue their nine-game road trip at Amway Arena against the Orlando Magic (38-12, 33-16-1). The Magic won and covered the L/2 games in this series with ease, winning 106-88 in Denver as short underdogs earlier this season, and 109-98 in Orlando as six-point choices last year. Both games went ‘under’ the ‘total’ by at least ten points.

Tonight, NBA oddsmakers have installed Orlando as 7.5-point home favorites, with a ‘total’ posted at 209. These numbers can be found by basketball bettors at BetOnline Sportsbook right now!

The road has been decent to the Nuggets so far on this trip. They’ve won three of the four games and gone 2-2 ATS. On Tuesday night, they dismantled the Heat 99-82 in South Beach. PG Chauncey Billups led the way for Denver, scoring a team-high 23 points to go with a pair of rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Forward’s Kenyon Martin and Carmelo Anthony both logged double-doubles, as Martin went for 18 and ten, while ‘Melo logged 19 and ten. Since December 26th, 99 points has been the magic number for the Nuggets to reach as they’re an astounding 17-1 SU and 13-5 ATS when reaching that number. Denver has reached the 99-point plateau in 18 of its L/23 games overall.

When you’re talking about the 100-point barrier though, all basketball bettors should know that the Magic are unstoppable when they reach triple digits. They’re now 27-3-1 ATS in games where they score 100+ points, and just 6-13 ATS when they don’t. Since January 27th, the Orlando offense has been on absolute fire, averaging right at 110.0 points per game; its 5-2 ATS and SU during that stretch. Without PG Jameer Nelson in the lineup, the Magic are leaning harder on the trio of F Rashard Lewis, F Hedo Turkoglu, and C Dwight Howard. Orlando’s version of the “Big Three” is averaging 56.4 points and 25.3 rebounds per game combined. Those are better figures than the “Big Three” of F Kevin Garnett, G Paul Pierce, and G Ray Allen in Boston, and that trio was good enough to win an NBA Title last year.

Considering the success the Magic has had lately on the offensive end of the floor and the fact that Denver averages giving up over 100 points per game, it’s hard to dislike the hosts tonight. Orlando is 16-9 ATS and 20-5 SU at Amway Arena this season, and is 11-1 ATS and 12-0 SU when attaining the magic 100-point plateau at home this year.

Though Denver’s ‘D’ shut down the Heat last night, they haven’t been stellar on this road trip, allowing Washington, Oklahoma City, and New Jersey to average 110.0 points per game against them. All three of those squads are in the bottom third of the league in scoring offense.

Denver’s played to the ‘over’ in 12 of its 19 games vs. non-conference opponents this season, and the ‘over’ cashed in five of the six games the Magic played after allowing 85 points or less their last time out. Both these teams are going to race up and down the floor all night. Orlando should reach at least 110, and I don’t think they’re keeping Denver under 100.

Rose’s Recommendation: 3* Denver/Orlando over 209
(Grading Scale = 1*-5*)
