Live NFL Odds for Thanksgiving Day Football – Jets will crush the Bengals

November 25, 2010

You’ve come to the right place for the most up to date Live NFL Odds for this Thanksgiving Day football fest. The finale looked to be a good game on paper at the start of the season as the Jets had knocked off the AFC North winning Bengals in last year’s playoffs, and both teams figured to be strong again this year. Well, the Jets are strong as their 8-2 record ties them for the best record in the NFL, but the Bengals are among the cellar dwellers of the NFL this year with their 2-8 record. That’s why the Jets are 10 point favourites in the Live NFL Odds right now, and more than 60% of the betting population are taking them to cover. Considering that the Bengals are out of it and are playing on a short week, on a dreary day in New York, I just don’t see anyone on this team coming to play.

Cincinnati Bengals (2-8) vs. Dallas Cowboys (8-2) (New Meadowlands Stadium – East Rutherford, NJ)

Things hit rock bottom for the Bengals last week as they were pounded by the Buffalo Bills by a 49-31 final. That was after building up a 17-point half time lead in front of a home crowd, which makes the loss even more disappointing. This team just can’t have much fight left in them after what transpired in that game, and the guys making the Live NFL Odds are well aware of that, pegging the Jets as a big 10-point favourites.

Live NFL Odds:
Cincinnati Bengals +375
New York Jets -10, -475
Total – 43

The Jets have obviously been good, but not great this season. Take into consideration that they’ve won their last four games either in overtime or in the last 10 seconds of regulation, and it makes you wonder what could be for this team if they hadn’t pulled those outs. One Jet that has been outstanding has been Santonio Holmes, who has caught two game winning passes in the last two games.

Then there is the Jets defence who are the main reason the over/under in the Live NFL Odds is so low. Expect a lot of Revis and Cromatie all over Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco, as Carson Palmer’s performance lately has been down, in a big way. Rex Ryan will have them dialled up and don’t be surprised if Carson finds himself on his back for most of this one. The Live NFL Odds have the Jets as a big favourite, but I still think they cover as Cincinnati doesn’t have enough heart to come out on a short week and compete. Take the Bengals to cover the Live NFL Odds of 10-points.

Live NFL Odds Pick: New York Jets (-10)
