Lebron’s Cavaliers vs. the Setting Suns – Cleveland at Phoenix
March 13, 2009
The Cleveland Cavaliers (50-13 SU, 41-22 ATS, 27-36 O/U) came roaring back from a 17-point fourth quarter deficit to beat the lowly Los Angeles Clippers 87-83 on Tuesday despite failing to cover the spread for BetOnline NBA sports betting backers as 11-point road favorites.
The Cavs got a triple-double from superstar forward LeBron James who scored 32 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out 11 assists in the win as the game played Under the 196-point O/U total.
The Phoenix Suns (34-30 SU, 24-37-2 ATS, 37-26 O/U) lost their fifth straight game on Tuesday, losing to the Dallas Mavericks 122-112 while failing to cover the spread in the BetOnline Sportsbook as 6-point home favorites.
The Suns got a team-high 23 points and 13 assists from Steve Nash as the 239 total points played Over the posted O/U total (230.5).

Analysis: I’ll keep this pick short and get right to the point by saying that, if you’ve seen the Suns’ pathetic display of defense over their last five games – and their failure to cover in four of those contests – you’d know they could be in for big trouble tonight against a Cavaliers team that often takes its defense as a matter of life and death.
Sure, the Cavs haven’t been that impressive in any of their last three contests, particularly in falling behind against the seriously awful Clippers on Tuesday, but you can bet your bottom dollar that LeBron James and his crew of merry men will be up to the challenge of playing against the once-formidable, Suns and their collection of high-scoring players.
Take the Cavs, fueled by their stellar defense, to shut the Suns down for the most part, while winning and covering the spread on the road.
