LeBron and Miami Heat are on a Major NBA Betting Roll, Face Bucks

December 6, 2010

LeBron James, D-Wade and the Bosh Man are on an incredible roll in the NBA betting sportsbook.

Finally, the magical Miami Heat is starting to play Voldermort to the rest of the NBA’s Harry Potter. It’s taken the team a while, but it appears that the Heat have finally put it all together. They’ve got games coming up against Utah and New Orleans in 2 of their next 5 games. So, we’ll truly see if Miami really has become one of the best teams in the NBA.

For now, pro basketball odds betting fans should just relish being able to bet on Miami and feeling secure that their money is in a good investment. That can happen tonight when the Heat take on the Milwaukee Bucks.

NBA Betting Odds

Miami Heat -5 ½ -110 O 184 ½ -110

Milwaukee Bucks +5 ½ -110 U 184 ½ -110

The trends favor neither squad in this game.

  • The Miami Heat is 7 and 2 ATS in their last 9 games as a road favorite of 5 to 10 ½ points.
  • The Miami Heat is 1 and 4 ATS in their last 5 games on the road.
  • The Milwaukee Bucks are 21-6-2 ATS in their last 29 games following a straight up win of more than 10 points.
  • The Milwaukee Bucks are 1-8-1 ATS in their last 10 games overall.

The sports betting odds in this game might lead one to believe that the Bucks might have a chance in this game. Actually, they might, considering that they are coming off of a 96 to 85 victory over Orlando as -4 ½ point home dogs.

But Milwaukee is 6-12-1 ATS on the season and is 3-5-1 ATS at home. The straight up victory over Orlando was only their third straight up win in their last 10 games. It was their first cover against the basketball betting spread in their last 10 games. Now, they face a dynamite team that is starting to feel that nobody can beat them in the Miami Heat.

What the Heat has discovered is that they can indeed play any style required to win. Miami clobbered Detroit 97 to 72 as 11-point favorites in a somewhat defensive affair. Then, they decimated Cleveland in LeBron’s return to Ohio 118 to 90 as -5 ½ point favorites in an up and down game. As -8 ½ point favorites, the Heat turned the Atlanta Hawks into mincemeat 89 to 77.

Miami is simply playing as well as any team in the NBA right now. Granted, they haven’t face any great teams of note with Atlanta being the only real respectable team out of their last 3 games, but they should have enough to handle Milwaukee because Heat center Zydrunas Ilgauskus, although not nearly as good as Bucks’ center Andrew Bogut, has the ability to at least keep Bogut to around 20 points and maybe 10 boards in this game.

If Ilgauskus can keep Bogut under control, then LeBron, D-Wade and Crish Bosh should be able to dominate the rest of the Bucks. Miami is on a roll and that roll should continue in tonight’s game versus the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Heat is feeling pretty good. I believe they put up their fourth straight victory both straight up and against the spread in the NBA sportsbook versus the Milwaukee Bucks on Dec. 6th.
