Last Chance for Points – Philadelphia vs. Cleveland

Slumping Sixers Face Cavs Minus LeBron

Cleveland will get to test just how good they are without the best player in the planet not named Kobe Bryant (it’s up for debate). And putting their one-loss record at home on the line shows just how much this Cavs squad is going after the NBA title. History and records don’t mean anything to LeBron and Mike Brown without the NBA Trophy in their display case.

So just how good are Cavs? Very. Mo Williams has become an absolute stud this season, posting 17.8 points per game. Delonte West has averaged a meager 11.8, but he’s an x-factor that many NBA betting fans aren’t factoring in to the equation. West was the Robin to LeBron’s Batman before Williams arrived. Tonight, against a shoddy Philadelphia team, he’ll get to prove just why he earned that moniker in the first place. Let’s not forget about the towering combination of Varejao and Ilgauskas either.

After making a big splash in the free-agent pool by signing Elton Brand, Philadelphia fell apart this season. Brand was lost to injury (again) and Andre Miller continued his decent from grace after a terrific season last year. Andre Igoudala has been ousted as a top-banana, proving he is a second fiddle at best. Granted, he’s a great second fiddle, but he’s not the superstar people thought his highlights reflected. The Sixers are winless in the last five games, and have never had success on the road, or against the Cavs.

Wednesday, April 15th — Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland — 8:00pm EST
NBA Betting Line: Philadelphia -1 (185)

Don’t be fooled by LeBron’s resting. This Cavs team is deeper than you think, and is far from being the one-man army they were two years ago when they lost to the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals. Cleveland will defend their tonight successfully while pushing the OVER in front of a rabid crowd.

NBA Free Pick: Cleveland +1 (OVER)
