After getting off to a strong start this season, the Houston Texans (4-4 SU, 3-5 ATS) have floundered a bit lately in dropping two straight coming into this contest.

The Texans, who have dropped three of its last four games overall, fell to San Diego 29-23 in Week 9 and head into their Week 10 divisional showdown looking to cash in against the NFL Week 10 predictions odds after failing to cover the spread in four straight games.

Jacksonville (4-4 SU, 4-4 ATS) is coming off a bye in Week 9 just one week after blasting the lowly Dallas Cowboys 35-17 on Halloween night to cash in as a 6.5-point road underdog and snap a two-game ATS losing streak.

The Jags have won two straight in this rivalry and come into this contest, but I really like the Texans to cash in as the correct Week 10 NFL predictions selection out of sheer desperation if nothing else.

Both teams are allowing an identical 28.2 points per game defensively, but the Texans are outscoring the Jags 24.1 to 20.6 per game offensively and I believe that will be the difference in this one as Houston pulls off the much-needed road upset.

The Jaguars are just 1-10 ATS in their last 11 games as a home favorite while Houston has gone 7-2 ATS in their last nine games as a road underdog.

Miami Dolphins (4-4 SU, 5-3 ATS) fans everywhere should be jumping for joy after head coach Tony Sparano announced earlier in the week that the team was going back to former veteran starter Chad Pennington after watching young quarterback Chad Henne’s season-long struggles.

The third-year signal-caller tossed three interceptions in last week’s dismal 26-10 loss to Baltimore as the Dolphins lost for the second time in three weeks while having its three-game ATS winning streak snapped in the loss.

The Tennessee Titans (5-3 SU, 5-3 ATS) had their three-game SU and ATS winning streak come to an abrupt halt in its 33-25 loss to san Diego in Week 9. Vince Young tossed two TD passes before leaving with an injury, but it wasn’t enough as the Titans were outscored 19-6 in the game’s second half.

Tennessee handed Miami a narrow 27-24 loss in overtime last season and is averaging almost 11 points per game more than the Dolphins this season (28.0 to 17.9).

Nevertheless, I like Miami to get back in the win column and cash in against the Week 10 NFL predictions odds in this one as Chad Pennington leads Miami’s offense to a nearly error-free outing.

Tennessee is just 1-4 ATS in its last five games as a road favorite while Miami has gone 9-2 ATS in its last 11 games as an underdog.

New York (6-2 SU, 5-3 ATS) picked up a narrow 23-20 win over the revitalized Detroit Lions in Week 9, but failed to cover the NFL point spread as a 5.5-point road favorite to fall to 0-2 ATS over the last two games.

Cleveland (3-5 SU, 4-4 ATS) got a stellar 184 rushing yards and two touchdowns from Peyton Hillis in upsetting the New England Patriots on Sunday to easily cash in as a slight 4.5-point home underdog.

Ironically enough, I genuinely believe it is Cleveland’s surprising Week 9 smackdown of the Patriots that will keep them from pulling off their second straight upset as Rex Ryan reminds his players of what Cleveland did to New England all week long.

New York can not afford a loss if they want to keep their division title-winning hopes alive and I believe they will cash in against the spread in this one after going 4-0 ATS in their last four games as a favorite and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 road games overall.

I know the Browns have compiled a stellar 6-2 ATS mark in its last eight home games, but I say the Jets are the correct pick to cover the Week 10 NFL Predictions line in this one!
