With the Bulldogs ranking 99th in the nation in points against an Idaho offense  that knows how to score, it’s easy to wonder why the Bulldogs are even considered a possible close matchup in this one.

Idaho has a lot of holes on defense but they can move the ball against a Bulldogs defensive unit that is supposed to be the strength of the team but is still ranked just 65th in the country in terms of yardage.

Without turnovers to save them on long drives, the Vandals have a great chance of covering the college football spread in this one.

Idaho doesn’t run it a whole lot but they won’t need to if they can continue to get the passing game going on the road.

The travel time is a concern for Idaho but the Vandals have a maturing collection of players and a maturing program that expects to win in the WAC, against everyone but the in-state rival Boise State Broncos, that is.

In this game, the Vandals will be able to at least hold down the miserable La. Tech offense enough to get the ball back for the offense, where they will be able to take over and do some damage in this one.

Idaho is in the 20′s in defensive rankings which is impressive despite the easy schedule, and they put up 31 points a game.

They are a complete team, making them the easy pick in this one compared to the one-dimensional Bulldogs, even though La. Tech is at home.
