Huge Eastern Conference Showdown – Celtics at Magic
March 25, 2009
The Boston Celtics (54-18 SU, 36-36 ATS, 34-37-1 O/U) have won four consecutive games in the BetOnline Sportsbook, including its 90-77 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday.
The Celtics failed to cover the spread as 15.5-point home favorites while the finals score played under the 200-point O/U total.
All-star shooting guard Ray Allen scored a team-high 20 points to lead the Celtics while center Kendrick Perkins added a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds.
The Orlando Magic (52-18 SU, 44-25-1 ATS, 32-38 O/U) have won three consecutive games and six of its last seven overall.
Orlando beat the New York Knicks 106-102 on Monday but failed to cover the spread for BetOnline NBA betting backers as a 5-point road favorites while the game played under the 213.5-point O/U total.
All-star center Dwight Howard recorded a double-double with 29 points, 14 rebounds, and four blocks to lift the Magic to victory.

NBA Odds
Boston Celtics +3½ -110
Orlando Magic -3½ -110
Over 190 -110
Under 190 -110
Analysis: The Celtics and Magic have each gone an identical 5-5 ATS over their last 10 meetings with Orlando covering the last time they met in Boston on March 8.
While Orlando has a stellar ATS record this season and Boston has gone just 3-7 ATS over its L/10, I like the C’s to pick up an absolutely huge outright road win tonight and send a powerful message to Orlando – and Cleveland – that despite their recent troubles, they are back at nearly full strength and ready to defend their league championship.
Orlando has dropped two straight ATS contests to the lowly new York Knicks in narrowly winning each contest and will need to turn up its defensive intensity a ton in order to beat the defensive-minded Celtics tonight.
I like Boston and the points tonight plus the Under for the third straight meeting between these ballclubs.
