Unworldly Heat has finished off the board in only 1 out of 5 races.  With 1 win and 3 seconds, her ability to finish in the money makes her the top pick in this.  She gets Corey Nakatani to ride and even though her trainer, Denise Breuer, hasn’t won a race at this meet she is 2 for 2 in the money with guess who?  That’s right.  Unworldly Heat.  I’m going with her in this.

Summertime – - 5/1 online betting odds

Any time Jeff Mullins sends a horse to the track online racebook fans should take notice.  Mullins is a very, very good trainer.  This daughter of Siberian Summer didn’t fair all that well in her last race on the turf but before that she was in really good form on the cushion track at Hollywood Park and this Pro-Ride surface at Santa Anita.  She could win this.

Ciccina – - 5/1 online betting odds

She’s coming off of a maiden victory for a trainer, Mike Puype, who has been very good win percentage wise at this meet.  She improved tons on the Pro-Ride surface.  She could improve even more which means she too has a shot for top honors in this.  If she can settle down and then make a nice run, she will be tough to handle.

Wagering Strategy

Unworldly Heat has been very close, by a neck and a head, in her last two.  That makes her almost a stand-out in this.  I’ll bet her to win and place.  An exacta and trifecta box with Unworldly Heat, Ciccina and Summertime should pay nice dividends should it hit.
