Horse Bet of the Day – Danzing Tribal Tries Again in Hollywood’s 7th
June 18, 2010
The word was out on Danzing Tribal in his last race. After running in 3 straight sprint races, winning one on the turf, Danzing Tribal stretched out to 1 1/16th miles over the lawn in his last race. Horseplayers bet him down to the 2 to 1 choice but something amiss occurred as Danzing Tribal didn’t even finish the race.
The Tribal Rule sired colt pulled up and then walked off of the course. He’s back on the lawn on Friday night at Hollywood Park and he’s back at running a mile. Because he lost to a couple of other’s in Hollywood’s 7th, Danzing Tribal might keep his 5 to 1 morning line horse betting odds.

4-Danzing Tribal – - 5/1 morning line horse betting odds
Danzing Tribal was obviously well meant as some very astute handicappers bet him down to favoritism in his last even though he was going around 2 turns for the first time and was only running in his second lifetime race over the grass. Tribal is bred to absolutely love the grass, however, and he’s been working brilliantly since walking off the lawn in his last. The jockey switch from Mike Smith to Alex Gonzalez gives Danzing Tribal a 4 ½ weight advantage. That might be enough in this ultra-competitive affair to get him home first and because this race is so competitive, he figures to keep his horse racing odds of 5 to 1 in the horse racing sportsbook.
6-Comoros – - 6/1 morning line horse betting odds
Comoros takes a steep drop in class form the $50,000 level to this $25,000 level. That should definitely help. What also should help is the fact that Comoros is the likely pace setter in a field lacking a lot of speed. He might get an easy lead given how fast he used to be. Of course, he didn’t run in all of 2009, has been absolutely horrendous in his only 2 starts in 2010 losing by a total of 28 ½ lengths and might just be a broken horse. He does get Mike Smith, however, and Zenyatta’s jockey could have taken the call on Danzing Tribal again. Comoros is worth using in the exotics at the morning line odds, that’s for sure.
1-One Man’s Delight – - 3/1 morning line horse betting odds
One Man’s Delight stretches out to a rout after running in nothing but sprint races for his career. Should Comoros not want the lead, One Man’s Delight would definitely end up with it. In either case, jockey Tyler Baze should get a nice trip aboard this horse breaking from the rail. One Man’s Delight has the ability to lead this field gate to wire and is a must use in all of the exotics.
Horse Wagering Strategy
I’m giving Danzing Tribal another shot and will bet that one to win and place. I will also play an exacta with Danzing Tribal over One Man’s Delight and Comoros. I will play a trifecta with Danzing Tribal in the first slot over One Man’s Delight, Comoros and closer Jack’s Wild, over ALL. I will play another trifecta box with Jack’s Wild , Comoros and One Man’s Delight over Danzing Tribal over ALL.
Good luck!
