Trainer Julio Canani will look to score with All Man in the 5th race at Hollywood Park on Friday night, June 25th.

Canani is only winning at an 8% clip at the meet, but All Man looks well spotted for the Canani barn as the other speed, Scottish Diamond and Futuro could be compromised by certain factors in the race.

Scottish Diamond is taking a huge class hike from the $8,000 level to the 5th race’s $25,000 claiming level. Futuro breaks from the rail and might have to be used up early to get position over Scottish Diamond.

This 7-year old gelding has a running line of 1-2-1 out of 6 lifetime races over the cushion track surface.

Trainer Canani is 30% winners with his last out chalk horses that lost, 27% winners with all of his claiming horses and 33% winners with his horses that don’t change a level from their last race to their next race.

Those are all great percentages. The real key is that jockey M.A. Pedroza could keep All Man to the outside of Scottish Diamond and then go right past that one at the end.

If Futuro doesn’t press the pace from his inside spot, and he might not given the fact that he breaks from the rail, All Man should be in perfect position to win this race.

Even if Futuro does press Scottish Diamond, All Man could lie 2 to 3 lengths off of the pace if need be. Canani has been thinking of the smile he’s going to flash in the winner’s circle for days.

Make no mistake, if All Man isn’t on his game and Futuro breaks slowly from the rail, Scottish Diamond could definitely wire this field. Trainer Steve Knapp wins at a 21% clip with horses that he rises at least 2 levels or higher off of the claim.

That’s a pretty good percentage. Scottish Diamond is the speed of the speed but the distance is a bit longer than he probably likes and he does lose his jockey, Rafael Bejarano, to River Echo, but if things go his way, he’ll be long gone.

3-Bad Boy – - 8/1 morning line horse betting odds

If the pace is swift, Bad Boy would benefit the most out of all of the horses entered.

Bad Boy is 3-1-2 out of 10 lifetime races over the Hollwyood Park cushion track, has a terrific closing kick, and runs first time for a trainer that is 33% first after the claim.

He can win this race if the pace is hot enough.
