Home Teams to Rule in Saturday’s MLB Betting Action
April 9, 2011
There are always stars that are bound to shine, especially in games featuring teams on the diamond. We have three big time winners picked out in MLB betting action that you are sure to cash in with this weekend!
Philadelphia Phillies @ Atlanta Braves
Game Date/Time: Saturday, April 9, 1:10 ET
Game Location: Turner Field, Atlanta, GA
TV/Radio Broadcast: Fox, Sirius
The Braves are going to hope that Brandon Beachy is able to keep up with Roy Oswalt, and we could really see it happening in MLB betting action this year. Turner Field was a house of horrors for the opposition last season, and the Phils probably aren’t going to be immune to the struggles in the Peach State this year either. Look for Beachy, who has just a 1.50 ERA after his first career start, to come up big again on Saturday and to help pitch the Braves to a statement victory against the favorites to win the NL East. Back a confident Braves outfit with a new attitude against the Phils.
SLAM THE BRAVES!
Los Angeles Dodgers @ San Diego Padres
Game Date/Time: Saturday, April 9, 8:35 ET
Game Location: Petco Park, San Diego, CA
TV/Radio Broadcast: KCAL, Sirius
As of Thursday night, the Dodgers still hadn’t won a road game in MLB betting action this year, while the Padres are still taking advantage of one of the best home field advantages in the game.
We know that Hiroki Kuroda has a great arm and that he is one of the most consistent pitchers that Manager Don Mattingly has to offer, but Dustin Moseley is coming off of a start against the St. Louis Cardinals in which he was a tough luck loser after allowing just four hits and one run. If Moseley can keep this up, he can pitch the Pads to what will inevitably be a mild upset on the MLB betting lines.
SLAM THE PADRES!
St. Louis Cardinals @ San Francisco Giants
Game Date/Time: Saturday, April 9, 10:05 ET
Game Location: AT&T Park, San Francisco, CA
TV/Radio Broadcast: Fox Sports Midwest, Comcast Sports Bay Area, SiriusIn what could be the best pitching matchup of the day, Jamie Garcia takes on Matt Cain in MLB betting action on Saturday. Neither hurler allowed a run in his first start of the season, and though neither is expected to be an ace for his respective team, both know that they have to be legitimate No. 2s that pitch like aces to get their teams into the playoffs. Both teams have gotten off to sluggish starts offensively this year, and both of these arms should do a great job keeping these two teams at bay.
However, when push comes to shove, we really just prefer Cain pitching at home, and in spite of the fact that he is only 1-2 with an ERA right around 5.00 in his career against the Redbirds, he gets the job done Saturday night.
SLAM THE GIANTS!
