The distance should be perfect for her and she already showed she can fire from 7 lengths off the pace. She should have the goods in this race.

New Elite – - 7/2 fair online betting odds

The daughter of Swamp has two significant things going for her. She’s trained by Steve Asmussen and ridden by Shane Sellers. Other than that…okay, she does look very capable in this race, but she only won her maiden last out by a nose and could get caught up in a quick pace she likes to stalk around 2 lengths off. She should be right there, but holding off Seasoned will be difficult.

Tuscan Chianti – - 5/1 fair online betting odds

Brett Calhoun sends out this daughter of Roman Ruler who is trying turf for the first time while stretching out to a mile and a sixteenth. She broke her maiden in fine style last out, but this challenge should be tougher. She is bred for the turf, though, so betting against her could be a bad move. I’ll use in the exotics just in case Calhoun has another star on his hands.

Wagering Strategy

I like Seasoned and will bet her to win and place. I will play an exacta box with Seasoned, New Elite and Tuscan Chianti. I will key Seasoned in all three spots in the trifecta over a box made up of New Elite, Tuscan Chianti and long shot Strong Deal.
