Givin’ Some Props – Lakers at Thunder Mad NBA Props Picks

April 22, 2010

Lemonade was a popular drink and it still is,
I get more props and stunts than Bruce Willis

Okay NBA betting enthusiasts, I might not get more ‘props’ than Bruce Willis like late legendary rap artist Guru once wrote in a 1992 hit rap song, but I sure know how to give some ‘props’ and I’m going to give out some NBA Props Picks to my pro basketball betting brethren that will help them boost their betting bankrolls with some additional postseason wagering.

Lakers at Thunder
Thursday, April 22, 9:30 PM ET

TV: ESPN, KCAL, FS OK-HD
Radio: Sirius 211 XM, WWLS 98.1-FM, WWLS 640-AM

With tonight’s tip-off just hours away, let me quickly break down some of my favorite props picks on the board for tonight’s matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Oklahoma City Thunder.

First To Score
Lakers -115
Thunder -115
Analysis: The Lakers scored first in Games one on a Pau Gasol layup while Kobe Bryant scored on a jump shot to open the scoring in Game 2. I’m going to play L.A. to score first against as the Thunder try to overcome some likely early-game home jitters.

Expert NBA Pick: Los Angeles Lakers

Largest Lead of The Game
Over 14½ -120
Under 14½ -110
Analysis: I’m going to get right to the point by saying that no team leads in this game by over 14 points. Forget taking a 15-point lead, the Lakers will be fighting an uphill battle just to beat the Thunder straight up at home in this one. Conversely, L.A. is just too good to fall down by 1 points either.

Expert NBA Pick: Under 14½ Points

Russell Westbrook Total Points, Rebounds and Assists
Over 30½ -115
Under 30½ -105

Analysis: Westbrook reached a combined total of 28 (19 points, six rebounds and three assists) in Game 2 after going off for 23 points, eight assists and four rebounds (35 total) in Game 1. With the Thunder back at home and likely to play a lot better, I like Westbrook to top this O/U total tonight.

Expert NBA Pick: Over 30½

Kobe Bryant Total Points
Over 30½ -115
Under 30½ -115
Analysis: Bryant scored a team-high 21 points in Game 1 on a dismal 6-for-19 shooting night but bounced back with a whopping 39 points on 12-for-28 shooting in Game 2. I think Bryant stays under 30 points tonight, as the Lakers try to avoid the road loss at the tough Thunder.

Expert NBA Pick: Under 30½ Points

Pau Gasol Total Points
Over 19½ -115
Under 19½ -115
Analysis: Gasol scored 25 points on 8-for-14 shooting in Games 2, following a Game 1 outing in which he scored 19 points on 7 of 14 shooting. Gasol is too tall for Oklahoma City’s smaller frontcourt not to score 20 points.

Expert NBA Pick: Over 19½ Total Points

Kevin Durant Total Points
Over 31½ -125
Under 31½ -105
Analysis: Durant scored a team-high 24 points in Game 1 but shot just 7 for 24 from the field but bounced back with a fine Game 2 performance where he put up 32 points on 12 for 26 shooting.  Durant will need to score at least that many in order for the Thunder to have a chance in Game 3, so I’m playing the Over here with KD being back at home.

Expert NBA Pick: Durant Over 31½ Total Points
