Both teams are 6-3, but two of the three losses the Eagles have had came at Lincoln Financial Field and both were against NFC opponents (Packers and Redskins). However, to be fair, this Philadelphia team looks a lot different after those two losses.
Last week, Michael Vick and the rest of the Eagles crushed the Redskins 59-28 in a game where the QB was superb, throwing for 333 yards and four touchdowns while adding two on the ground.
NFL betting fans must keep in mind that the NY Giants defensive line is a great one, but catching and sacking someone like Michael Vick is almost impossible because he scrambles so well.
Also, consider that the Giants secondary had a difficult time stopping Dez Bryant in the 33-20 loss against the Cowboys. Despite that DeSean Jackson is not as versatile as Bryant, he is a fast option down the field, plus he seems to be so in sync with Vick.
On the other hand, the Giants need to avoid stupid mistakes offensively, as Eli Manning has thrown 19 TDs this season (tied as the best in the league with Phillip Rivers), but he has committed unbelievable mistakes that want to make you kill yourself when you bet the NY Giants.
Manning can go both ways, as he could have a fantastic day or he could look like the biggest dumbass in the world.
NFL Betting Trends say Philadelphia is 15-4 ATS at home after playing Monday Night, 5-2 ATS off a win against a division rival and 9-5 ATS off a division game. The Giants are 3-0 ATS when playing against a team with a winning record.
Simmons’ Pick: take the Giants with the points.
