Atlanta Falcons (4-1 SU, 3-2 ATS) at Philadelphia Eagles (3-2 SU, 2-3 ATS)

Sunday, October 17: 1:00 p.m. Fox, Live from Lincoln Financial Field

Betting Odds:

Atlanta: +2 ½

Philadelphia: -2 ½

Total: 43

Heading into this one, the key will be what Philadelphia can get out of quarterback Kevin Kolb. With Michael Vick sidelined by his injured ribs, the pressure will be on the new (old) Philly quarterback to get the job done, and after last weekend’s Sunday night performance, NFL bettors know he can. In their win over San Francisco, Kolb threw for 253 yards and a touchdown.

As for Atlanta, their only loss was in Week 1 to an excellent Pittsburgh team, and since then they’ve blitzed through their schedule. Most importantly, they’re getting it done defensively, where they own the league’s second ranked scoring defense. They’re allowing just 14 points per game.

The wager here is clear. Make sure the Falcons are one of your NFL Week 6 Picks.

NFL Week 6 Picks: Atlanta +2 ½

Baltimore Ravens (4-1 SU, 3-2 ATS) at New England Patriots (3-1 SU, 2-2 ATS)

Sunday, October 17: 1:00 p.m. CBS, Live from Gillette Stadium, Foxboro, MA

Football Betting Odds:

Baltimore: +2 ½

New England: -2 ½

Total: 44 ½

The most intriguing game of the weekend may come from Foxboro, MA on Sunday afternoon, as we get a rematch of last year’s playoff tilt between the Patriots and the Ravens. Baltimore won last year, can they do it again?

The short answer is yes. This New England defense has struggled this year, allowing 24 points and 384 yards per game defensively. Previously they had the security blanket of an excellent offense, but as the Patriots get set to play their first game without Randy Moss, will they be able to still put up the points they have been?

That question will get answered, but until we know for sure, stay away from the Patriots.

NFL Week 6 Picks: Baltimore +2 ½

Oakland Raiders (2-3 SU, 2-3 ATS) at San Francisco 49ers (0-5 SU, 1-4 ATS)

Sunday, October 17: 4:05 p.m. Fox, Live from Candlestick Park, San Francisco, CA

Betting Odds:

Oakland: +6

San Francisco: -6

Total: 41

The Bay Area will be buzzing, as this matchup pits two teams desperate for a win.

We all know the conundrum in San Francisco, as the 49ers are winless in 2010, despite coming into the season as favorites in the NFC West. Meanwhile, the Raiders are flying high, having beaten AFC West rival San Diego last week.

For whatever reason, the Raiders come into this one as close to a touchdown underdog, against a team that hasn’t won a game all season. Until the 49ers justify being favorites stay away. Make the Raiders one of your NFL Week 6 Picks.

NFL Week 6 Picks: Oakland +6

New York Jets (4-1 SU, 4-1 ATS) at Denver Broncos (2-3 SU, 2-3 ATS)

Sunday, October 17: 4:05 p.m. CBS, Live from Invesco Field at Mile High Stadium, Denver, CO

Betting Odds:

New York: -3

Denver: +3

Total: 41

Finally, the game of the day will take you out to Denver, where the J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets try to prove that they are the best team in the NFL.

While they just might be, the pick here is Denver. The Broncos have the league’s second highest ranked pass attack (333 yards per game), and one that should be able to pick on the Jets secondary, as cornerback Darrelle Revis still struggles to come back from injury. As good as the Jets are, their pass defense ranks just 23rd in the NFL.

New York may be the better team, but they won’t be Sunday. Take the Broncos as one of the final NFL Week 6 Picks you make this weekend.

NFL Week 6 Picks: Denver +3
