Get on Yankees For Baseball Sports Betting Profits
October 6, 2010
Get on the New York Yankees for baseball sports betting profits on Oct. 6th in Game 1 of their American League Divisional Series versus the Minnesota Twins.
The Yankees have absolutely owned the Twins in recent memory.
They’ve beaten Minnesota 9 out of 11 times in the first round of the A.L. Playoffs since 2000. What’s worse is that New York has beaten Minnesota in 4 out of 6 this season alone.

Do the Twins have any shot of turning around their recent history versus the Yankees?

The baseball sports betting trends favor the Yankees in this game.
- The New York Yankees are 4 and 1 in their last 5 Divisional Playoff games.
- The New York Yankees are 6 and 1 in the last 7 meetings between these two teams in Minnesota.
- The New York Yankees are 54 and 18 in the last 72 meetings between these two teams.
- The Minnesota Twins are 2 and 8 in their last 10 games overall.
Most MLB fans, outside of Manhattan, are probably rooting for the Minnesota Twins in this game, but most baseball sports betting aficionados are probably jumping all over the New York Yankees in this game.
Simply put, the Yankees have a better batting line-up and better pitching than the Twins. Minnesota just doesn’t match up very well against the Yankees in this game.
The Twins Francisco Liriano is a decent pitcher but he can’t dominate the way that C.C. can and the Yankees are ready to prove that losing the A.L. East Division to the Tampa Bay Rays, by one lousy game, isn’t going to preclude them from winning another A.L. Pennant.
New York’s Sabathia went 21 and 7 during the regular season for a 3.18 ERA and a 1.19 WHIP. Those numbers make him an ace. Liriano’s 14 and 10 record, 3.62 ERA and 1.26 WHIP just don’t compare to CC’s stats.
But that’s not the only reason to love the Yankees in this game. New York’s offense is ranked 1st in runs, 8th in batting average, 1st in on-base percentage and 3rd in slugging percentage.
Add into the fact that they’ve dominated the Twins in close to 75 games (the Yankees have a 75% winning percentage against the Twins in the past 72 games) and it becomes obvious that things just aren’t setting up for a Twins’ upset in tonight’s game.
The question becomes whether or not baseball sports betting fans should put money on the run line in this game. To me, that’s the way to go. I just don’t see the Twins being capable of keeping this one close as Francisco Liriano has allowed 17 hits, 5 runs and a .309 average versus the Yankees in only 13 innings.
The Yankees should find a way to get to Liriano early, building a lead, and then using Joba Chamberlain and Mariano Rivera to close it out. I’m making a baseball sports betting wager on the Yankees on the run line in this game.
