Furious MLB Betting Picks – Division Leading Braves Visit Minnesota Twins

The Atlanta Braves continue to rise to the top of the NL East despite a strong push by the Phillies and if they want to stay there they just might have to overcome the Minnesota Twins on their home field. Getting wins off of Francisco Liriano in interleague play, however, is no easy feat.

The left hander for Minnesota is 7-1 SU and has rocked a 2.67 ERA when feasting on the National League. He remains a huge factor for Minnesota’s playoff chances, and has earned a 5-3 SU record with a 3.10 ERA this season. The Twins are 7-4 SU in Liriano’s 11 starts, and they’ve returned as a MLB betting favorite since Liriano and his teammates have seemingly shaken off their rough month of May.

This season, he is 6-1 SU with a 2.44 ERA with the Braves going 7-4 SU with him standing in the dirt over 11 starts.

Rookie phenom Jason Heyward will be called upon to try and rattle Liriano’s cage, but that may be a tall feat to accomplish considering that Heyward went just 3-for12 at the plate in a recent series against the Cubs.

Two division leaders clashing in Minnesota will certainly garner a lot of attention, especially with big bats like Heyward and Morneau swinging at the plate. Hudson has been abysmal when facing the American League, and the Twins are 6-1 SU in their last 7 games at home. Not only would I take the Twins tonight with Liriano protecting the scoreboard, I’d max out a bet on the series price where the Twins are sweet -155 favorites to take the series against the Braves, who are +125.
