No. 12 Arkansas Razorbacks at Georgia Bulldogs: Saturday, September 18, 12:00 p.m. ESPN
College Football Lines:
Arkansas (2-0 SU, 0-2 ATS): +2 ½
Georgia (1-1 SU, 1-1 ATS): -2 ½
Coming into the Week 3 of NCAA Football, there are few teams more confusing than the No. 12 Arkansas Razorbacks. Yes they’re 2-0, but they have hardly been impressive in getting those two victories.
In their two contests, Arkansas has struggled, most notably in their game against Louisiana-Monroe last Saturday. The high-powered Razorbacks were up just 7-0 at halftime and 14-0 after three quarters, before a 17-point fourth quarter made the final margin look the game look a lot more one-sided than it was.
As for the Georgia Bulldogs, Mark Richt’s hot seat is officially scolding after a disappointing 17-6 loss at South Carolina last weekend. In that game, the Bulldogs allowed 354 yards of total offense, a disappointing effort from a defense which was supposed to be improved from last year.
Still, the play here is Georgia. While the Bulldogs struggled last weekend, they are battle tested. With that tough road game at South Carolina under their belts, they’ll be happy to return to the cozy confines of Sanford Stadium. And remember, even though Arkansas won nine games last year, they went 0-4 on the road in the SEC.
Free College Football Pick: Georgia -2 ½

No. 10 Florida Gators at Tennessee Volunteers: Saturday, September 18, 3:30 p.m. CBS
NCAAF Odds:
Florida (2-0 SU, 1-1 ATS): -14 ½
Tennessee (1-1 SU, 1-1 ATS): +14 ½
Much like Georgia and Arkansas, this is a crucial SEC game in Week 3 of NCAA Football.
Tennessee enters off a disappointing loss to Oregon last week, in a game which they led 6-0, before allowing 35 second-half points. They’ll certainly need to improve on, most notably, their defense, as they gave up 445 yards to the Ducks. That just won’t get the job done now that SEC play is underway.
Luckily, the Florida team that’s coming to Neyland Stadium isn’t your typical Gators squad. They are loaded with talent, but plagued with inexperience. Quarterback John Brantley still doesn’t seem entirely comfortable under center, as he’s completed just 62.5 percent of his passes so far in 2010.
Right now, the Gators have the 104th-ranked passing game in the nation, putting up only 142.5 yards a game through the air.
We’re not saying the Gators won’t win, just that it won’t be by the comfortable margin they’re used to. This is a young team, still trying to find themselves. Giving over two touchdowns on the road seems like a bit much.
College Football Free Pick: Tennessee +14 ½

No. 6 Texas Longhorns at Texas Tech Red Raiders: Saturday, September 18, 8:00 p.m. ABC
NCAAF Betting Odds:
Texas (2-0 SU, 0-2 ATS): -3
Texas Tech (2-0 SU, 1-1 ATS): +3
The final line of Week 3 of NCAA Football that we’ll look at comes from Lubbock, TX, where the Texas Tech Red Raiders will look to once again shock the Texas Longhorns.
We all remember what happened between the two the last time they played at Tech, with the Red Raiders shocking the undefeated Longhorns with a last-second win in 2008. In the process, they knocked Texas out of the National Championship game picture, and put college football into a state of chaos.
When it comes to Week 3 of NCAA Football this year, expect the same. Texas Tech isn’t necessarily the better team, but they get the Longhorns at the right time. Quarterback Garrett Gilbert is young, and this will be his first career start on the road. In the brutal environment in Lubbock, expect the Red Raiders to surprise everyone and spring the upset.
