The Lions have been on the receiving end of some bad calls (including the should-have-been Calvin Johnson TD that would have defeated the Bears) and bad luck while the opposite has happened for St. Louis.

The overall talent level of both teams is fairly similar with both teams having talented young playmakers surrounded by players who might not exactly belong in the NFL at this point in their careers.

This one could come down to QB play. Sam Bradford has been fairly efficient and a good leader for the Rams and Shaun Hill has put up good numbers for the Lions.
