Here is a look at the top head-to-head trend for this matchup.
- Chiefs are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 meetings.
Free Betting Tips Alert!
If you didn’t know it before now, the Kansas City Chiefs have compiled a stellar 6-1 ATS mark in their last seven road games.
Kansas City (3-0 SU, 3-0 ATS, 1-2 O/U)
- Chiefs are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games as an underdog.
- Chiefs are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
- Chiefs are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 vs. AFC.
The Chiefs will be coming into this contest very refreshed after getting a bye in Week 4 following their 31-10 smackdown of San Francisco in Week 3.
Kansas City moved to a perfect 3-0 ATS by cashing in against the Niners as 2.5-point home underdogs while playing Over the set O/U total for the second time in three games.
The Chiefs have been absolutely beastly on defense this season as they are ranked fifth against the run and second in points allowed (12.7 ppg).

Free Betting Tips Alert 2!
Apparently, the Indianapolis Colts don’t bounce back from a loss particularly well as they’ve gone just 2-5 ATS in their last seven games following an SU loss.
Indianapolis (2-2 SU, 2-2 ATS, 3-1 O/U)
- Colts are 6-1-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
- Colts are 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 home games.
- Colts are 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 games as a favorite.
The Colts have sandwiched two losses around their two wins and fell to the mediocre Jacksonville Jaguars 31-28 in Week 4.
Hopefully, football gamblers free betting tips last week included playing the Jaguars to cash in because Indianapolis never came close to cashing in as a 7-point road favorite.
Indianapolis is ranked second in passing and second in scoring (29.2 ppg) and has played Over their set O/U totals three times in four games.
Analysis: Maybe it’s me, but I’m a bit surprised that the Indianapolis Colts are such huge favorites over a Kansas City Chiefs team that is playing excellent football right now and enters this contest really refreshed after getting a bye in Week 4.
While the Colts possess one of the game’s most potent offenses, they are also ranked just 23rd in points allowed and are the unlucky owners of the league’s 29th-ranked run defense.
As a matter of fact, Indy’s major weakness (run defense) plays right into Kansas City’s hands as the Chiefs are ranked third in rushing this season averaging a whopping 160.7 yards per game on the ground.
My free betting tips for this matchup are quite simple for this contest.
Simply put, I like the Chiefs, behind the fine rushing of veterans, Jamaal Charles (7.0 ypc) and Thomas Jones (4.2 ypc) to drain the clock and keep Peyton Manning chained to the sidelines, while carrying Kansas City to a solid ATS cover in this contest at the very least.
Kansas City looks very, very solid on defense this season and are also ranked 10th in scoring (22.7 ppg) and have one of the most explosive rookies in the league in do-it-all wide receiver Dexter McCluster.
In addition to playing my free betting tips pick of Kansas City to cover the spread, I also like the Over to move to 9-3 in the Colts’ last dozen games.
Bet NFL Pick: Chiefs +7.5 Points/Over 44.5 Total Points
