Let’s look at the teams, the betting lines and some free betting tips before we make a prediction.

Free Betting Tips – Miami is 8-2 ATS in their past 10 games versus the AFC East
The Dolphins and the Patriots are both 2-1 on the season with both losses coming to their AFC East rival New York Jets. If the AFC East is going to be a three-team race, winning this game will go a long way to deciding the tiebreakers. With both teams losing at home to the Jets, neither can afford to drop another tiebreaker game to an East rival.
Both teams beat the Buffalo Bills but Miami escaped with a victory after the Bills offense stagnated. The Patriots beat the Bills but because of their sieve like defense, the game turned into a shootout.
The Dolphins knocked off the Minnesota Vikings and the Patriots beat the Bengals in their other wins.
Free Betting Tips – The Patriots are 0-3-2 ATS against a team with a winning record.
The Miami Dolphins game against the Jets answered some questions and it raised a few more. Miami scored 23 points on the Jets, more than the Pats, Ravens or Bills could manage this year. However, they also gave up 31 points to the Jets, with three touchdowns coming on passing plays.
The Patriots can throw the ball. Tom Brady has eight touchdown passes on the season with Randy Moss and Wes Welker each catching three passes. The Dolphins will need to tighten up their secondary if they stand a chance against the Brady-Moss-Welker connection. The Patriots are averaging 30 points a game, which is best in the NFL.
Free Betting Tips – The Patriots have gone over the total in their past five straight games.
The Patriots defense is bad; they let the Bills put 30 on the board. The defense is young, inexperienced and equally deficient against the pass and the run. They rank 29th in points given up, they allow 27.3 points a game.
Other than the Jets debacle, the new look Dolphins defense has played well. The addition of Karlos Dansby in the offseason is paying dividends. Dansby has 25 tackles and a sack on the season.
The Dolphins running attack hasn’t been the wildcat mayhem we saw last year but quarterback Chad Henne is maturing into a fine starter. Against the Jets, Henne threw a career high 363 yards with new addition Brandon Marshall catching 10 passes for 166 yards.
In Monday night’s game, it should turn into a shootout. The Patriots will score, there is no doubt about that but their defense won’t stop the Ricky Williams-Ronnie Brown combo and Chad Henne should hook up with Brandon Marshall for a score or two.
Free Betting Tips – The Patriots are 1-4 ATS in their past five meetings with Miami
Take the over 48 points in what will be one of the best Monday Night football games of the year.
