Indianapolis Colts (3-2 SU, 3-2 ATS, 3-2 O/U)

  • Colts are 7-1-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
  • Colts are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.
  • Colts are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games as a road favorite.
  • Colts are 11-4-1 ATS in their last 16 road games.

Indianapolis moved a game over .500 by beating the Kansas City Chiefs 19-9 last week to cash in against the free betting tips line as a 7.5-point home favorite. Pro Bowl quarterback Peyton Manning completed 26 of 44 passes for 244 yards with one interception while Mike Hart rushed for the Colts’ only touchdown score in the win.

Washington Redskins (3-2 SU, 3-2 ATS, 2-3 O/U)

  • Redskins are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games as an underdog.
  • Redskins are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following an ATS win.
  • Redskins are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games as a home underdog of 0.5-3.0.

The Redskins cashed in as a 2.5-point free betting tips underdog by handing the Green Bay Packers a narrow 16-13 loss in overtime in Week 5 while playing Under the set O/U total for the second straight week.

Veteran quarterback Donovan McNabb completed 26 of 49 passes for 357 yards with one TD and one interception while blossoming safety LaRon Landry continued his ascent into the upper echelon of NFL safeties by recording one sack, one interception and 10 tackles in a stellar all-around performance.

Analysis: I’ve been really impressed with each of Washington’s last two victories and I expect them to perform well in this matchup, mostly because they are ranked ninth in scoring defense (18.4 ppg).

Still, my free betting tips for this contest say to play the Indianapolis Colts to cover the NFL betting line by the slimiest of margins.

Indianapolis has gone 7-1-1 ATS against a team with a winning record and a blistering 11-4-1 ATS in their last 16 road games.

I know the Redskins have posted their own eye-opening ATS statistics coming into this matchup by going 3-1-1 ATS in their L/5 games as an underdog and an even more impressive 5-2 ATS in their last seven games following a ATS win, but I think their lack of big play ability and overall scoring will be the thing that comes back to haunt them in this matchup as they are averaging just 17.8 points per contest compared to Indy’s 27.2 points per game average.

The Colts have gone 5-1 ATS in their last six road games against a team with a winning home record and 7-2 ATS in their last nine games as a road favorite and are my free betting tips pick to cash in as a narrow 3-point road favorite.

Free Betting Tips Pick: Indianapolis Colts -3 Points
