The Hawks are going to be really overmatched in this game, and we can plainly see that before we even remotely analyze our free betting picks for the duel. St. Joe’s is just 7-18 on the year and in second to last place in the 14 team A-10.

This is a squad that just has no offense to speak of, as the days of Head Coach Phil Martelli and his team being dominating are clearly done. Carl Jones is great, averaging 17.4 points per game, but the rest of this team just can’t generate anything whatsoever.

The St. Joseph´s Hawks are averaging just 63.9 points per game this year, not exactly the material you want to see when making free betting picks on a team. They rank No. 307 in the land in shooting percentage at just 40.5 percent and No. 288 from long range at 31.7 percent.

Temple isn’t without its difficulties though, either. The Owls are in great shape for the NCAA Tournament though, as they snared a big win over the Xavier Musketeers in a romp here at the Liacouras Center earlier this week. Now, Temple has reached that coveted 20 win mark and it has a solid 10-2 mark in a strong conference.

Michael Eric suffered a brutal knee injury though, and he will be out for the rest of the season. Eric was averaging 7.1 points per game, and his absence will really limit the rotation for Head Coach Fran Dunphy.

The good news is that the biggest five players are all still available and in the rotation. Ramone Moore is the leader of the bunch at 15.4 points per game, while Scootie Randall, Lavoy Allen, and Juan Fernandez are all right there with him. Moore and Fernandez came up particularly big in our free betting picks on the Temple Owls a few days ago, as they scored 24 and 20 points respectively in the victory.

However, when push comes to shove, we just can’t lay some huge number of points with these Owls. Their offense doesn’t really play fast enough to generate a ton of possessions, which really isn’t conducive to laying a lot of chalk.
