Football Proposition Betting – 20 Team Parlay
September 17, 2010
By now, you know out there in proposition betting land about the 20-team parlay that can pay off at big bucks at BetOnline. You know that it is 4000-to-1. You know that’s a huge payout, so I shouldn’t have to say anything more. So here comes my twenty-team parlay for this college football weekend (remember, the home team is in CAPS):
1) Arkansas +1 over GEORGIA – I’m looking at pro prospect Ryan Mallett (Michigan transfer) as much too problematic for that Bulldog defense this week. He’s gunning for Heisman contention. Let ‘r rip!
2) KANSAS STATE -3.5 over Iowa State — I don’t minding laying it here against ISU’s mistake-prone QB Austen Arnaud (five INT’s already).
3) PENN STATE -21 over Kent State — Joe Paterno is still encouraged by his freshman quarterback Robert Bolden. Here they’ll do to another weak opponent what they’ve been brought in for. Another win to pad JoePa’s record!
4) Vanderbilt +12 over OLE MISS — You know what? I was not impressed one bit with way the Rebels looked so uninspired in the second half against a Tulane team they should have been motivated to blow out of the water.
5) VIRGINIA TECH -20 over East Carolina — You just KNOW the Hokies aren’t THAT bad. Here is their opportunity to respond to a wake-up call after losing to an FCS opponent.

6) OKLAHOMA STATE -7 over Tulsa — Hey, the Big 12 is still the Big 12, and Conference USA is still Conference USA.
7) Alabama -23.5 over DUKE — Yes, Duke is defenseless, not to mention exasperated from that 54-48 loss, and ‘Bama has so much depth in its backfield now. This may happen by accident!
Hawai’i +12.5 over COLORADO — Sure, the Warriors have been traveling a lot, but Bryant Moniz is giving indications that he is a better pilot of the offense than we thought.
9) FLORIDA STATE -10 over Brigham Young — The Seminoles’ defense is suspect, but they will not lay down after taking that pounding at Oklahoma. Ponder is still Ponder, and BYU doesn’t have the answers at quarterback just yet.
10) Southern Cal -12 at MINNESOTA — The Gophers could be angry after losing to South Dakota. But so what?
11) SMU -23 over Washington State — Yeah, we swallow hard here, but June Jones’ Mustangs can do some damage on occasion, and they are seeking revenge for last year’s loss.
12) Nebraska -3 over WASHINGTON — Yes, we saw Jake Locker in that USA Today story. And the Huskies have talent. But we’re not completely convinced.
13) Air Force +16.5 over OKLAHOMA — Yeah, I saw the Sooners destroy FSU last week, like everybody else. I just don’t know if we want to lay this many, coming off that emotional high, against a team that is so disciplined.
14) Navy -3 over LOUISIANA TECH — I would be really surprised if Louisiana tech solved its myriad quarterback problems in time for this game. Navy has allowed SIX completions thus far!
15) Central Florida -7.5 over BUFFALO — I am VERY impressed with UCF freshman QB Jeffry Godfrey and hope he gets a lot of time this week.
16) Clemson +7 over AUBURN — Clemson’s covered seven of last eight as a road dog. This is too many points!
17) Utah -22.5 over NEW MEXICO — If Utah doesn’t empty the bench, this one is over by halftime. You’re telling me Mike Locksley (UNM coach) hasn’t been fired yet?
18) UTAH STATE +3.5 over Fresno State — You have to like what Diondre Borel and the gutsy Aggies (seven-point losers to Oklahoma) can do, and Fresno is down a couple of offensive weapons (injury).
19) Boise State -23.5 over WYOMING — The tailspin by Virginia tech was a big blow to Boise’s BCS hopes, so it’s time to run it up with all that veteran weaponry.
20) Iowa +1 over ARIZONA — I like UA’s Nick Foles (83% completions) but Iowa has the running attack and offensive line to wear the Wildcats down in their own very hot backyard in the second half.
