Football Predictions – Dallas vs. New Orleans

November 25, 2010

Two teams coming off of wins will stage a Thanksgiving 2010 battle at the state-of-the-art new stadium in Dallas with New Orleans coming in as a favorite.

The Cowboys seem to be playing better with young interim coach Jason Garrett at the helm. Can they salvage some pride and get a win over the defending champs?

NFL Betting Line: Saints favored at -3 ½

The Saints are coming off of an easy win over Seattle while the Cowboys beat the Detroit Lions in a game that was close for a while before the Lions coughed up the lead on a ridiculous punt-team mistake.

The Cowboys are the Football Predictions hosts again and play well on the day but fans should note that they struggled with an injury-depleted Lions team last week.

Jon Kitna is not likely to be able to go toe-to-toe with Drew Brees in this game, especially against an underrated New Orleans Saints defense.

The Saints’ offense gets all the attention, but the Saints actually have the 4th-best defense in the National Football League going into this one.

Reggie Bush should be back healthy and while Bush is a hard guy to figure, he seems to come out of nowhere and have big games in the spotlight as he will be on Turkey Day.

The Cowboys have the strength of the crowd behind them but their running game has been poor as has their offensive line.

It will likely be tough sledding for the Cowboys in the run game against the Saints and a one-dimensional passing team led by Jon Kitna is sure to see interceptions at some point.

The Saints have the smart DB’s to capitalize on the mistakes and they will be the difference in covering the spread in this one if it’s a close game.

In fact, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Saints run the overmatched Cowboys out of their own building this time around.
