Pittsburgh Steelers (5-1 SU, 4-2 ATS, 3-3 O/U)
- Steelers are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.
- Steelers are 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall.
Pittsburgh was handed a ‘cheat’ win the last time out by insane refs as they ruled Ben Roethlisberger’s goal line fumble which Miami recovered in the end zone, was not a fumble and they couldn’t decide who recovered anyway, so Pittsburgh retains possession.
Yeah, I know that sounds like a serious head-scratcher, but the Steelers still walked away with a 23-22 win over Miami in Week 7 as Roethlisberger threw for 302 yards while tossing two TD passes.
Pittsburgh failed to cover the NFL point spread as a 3-point road favorite while playing Over the 45-point football Over/Under betting line for the second consecutive game and third time in four weeks.

New Orleans Saints (4-3 SU, 2-5 ATS, 4-3 O/U)
- Saints are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.
- Saints are 12-3 ATS in their last 15 games following an S.U. loss.
- Saints are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games following an ATS loss.
- Saints are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games.
I told pro football gamblers not to worry about football over/under betting in the Saints Week 7 matchup against the Cleveland Browns while advising my NFL betting brethren to play the Browns to record the ATS and possibly, SU win.
Of course, the game played out just the way I figured as the Browns pounded the inconsistent Saints 30-17 in their Week 7 showdown.
Drew Brees completed 37 of 56 passes for 356 yards with two TD passes but also tossed four interceptions in the loss.
The Saints played Over the 44-point football over/under betting line for the second time in three weeks.
Analysis: I’m starting to feel like rooting for the Steelers is kind of like rooting for the hated Dallas Cowboys and it’s a pretty sickening feeling to be honest about it.
Nevertheless, no matter how ticked off I am about the Steelers’ Week 7 robbery of Miami, I’ve got to urge the BetOnline NFL wagering community to play the red-hot Steelers to win this game and cash in for pro football betting backers as a 1.5-point road underdog against a Saints team that has struggled in alternating wins and losses over the last six weeks.
The Steelers have gone 5-0 ATS in their last five road games versus a team with a winning home record while also going 5-2-1 ATS in their last eight games overall.
New Orleans may be 4-0 ATS in their last four home games against a team with a winning road record, but they’ve also gone 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games following an ATS loss and just 1-4 ATS in their last five home games overall.
Gamblers that want to bet against the football over/under total should know the Over has gone 5-2 in Pittsburgh’s last seven road games and 4-1-1 in the Saints’ last six home games against a team with a winning road record.
Play the Steelers and the Over to play out in this NFL Week 8 matchup!
NFL Pick: Pittsburgh Steelers +1.5 Points/Over 44.5 Total Points
