Football Betting Pick – Green Bay at New England
December 17, 2010
The Packers and Patriots are among the two most explosive, if not the most explosive, offensive teams in the NFL and that should translate to plenty of TV viewers among football betting and casual football fans for this Sunday night game.
The Pats have Tom Brady locked in and on his way to what could very well be another historical and MVP-caliber season while Green Bay might have to go without QB Aaron Rodgers.

Can Green Bay keep pace in the NFC in this pivotal road game or will New England get another big win, literally and figuratively?
Green Bay Packers at New England Patriots
8:20 pm ET Sunday, Gillette Stadium, Foxboro, MA
The Patriots come into this one at 11-2 on the year and seeking to keep pace in the race for best record in the AFC.
They have been on a roll and it all starts with Brady who has posted astronomical QB ratings in recent years.
Brady will face off against the Packers’ secondary, which includes former teammate at Michigan Charles Woodson, and the two have a history in the NFL as well.
The "tuck rule" went against the former Heisman Trophy-winning DB when he sacked Brady as a member of the Oakland Raiders leading to a devastating loss.
Now with the Packers’ playoff lives on the line, the football betting underdog Packers and Woodson should be ready to play their best game.
But the Patriots will be ready for them. Game-time temperature is expected to be 14 degrees and both teams know how to play in the cold weather. No snow is expected as of now, however.
The betting lines have changed often due to the status of Aaron Rodgers at QB. As of right now Rodgers is looking doubtful to play because the team has kept him away from the practice facility to rest.
Rodgers needs to recover from a concussion and likely won’t play, although it is a possibility.
Even if he does go, it’s hard to image the NFL betting underdog Packers mustering up the monumental effort it will take to beat Brady and co. on their home turf with the way their offense has been rolling.
Go with the Patriots in this one to win by a large margin because of the uncertainty with Rodgers among many other factors, even if Rodgers does somehow end up playing.
NFL betting pick: New England 24. Green Bay 13
