Football Betting – Texans at Titans Battle for Division Basement
December 17, 2010
My Football Betting Advice at the beginning of the year included both Houston and Tennessee battling for NFL Playoff contention at this time of the year.
These two AFC South teams were out of the gates quick and leading, but that changed the last 6 weeks. This will be a great game actually, because NOBODY wants to be the division loser in last place.

Houston Texans (5-8) at Tennessee Titans (5-8) – Sunday, Dec. 19 at 1:00 ET CBS-TV
Sun Life Stadium (69,143) – Nashville, Tennessee
Football Betting Line:
Houston Texans (4-8-1 ATS) +1 ½
Tennessee Titans (6-7 ATS) -1 ½
Over/Under Total – 47
The Titans started this season on fire with a 5-2 record and hove lost 6 straight since then.
The Texans started off the season with a bang taking down the mighty Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts. They were 4-2, and lost six of the last seven they have played lately.
They were the newest brightest surprise with an explosive running back not many people knew of named Arian Foster. Everybody knows him now, and Football Betting is swayed by him individually.
There’s also a guy you may have heard of named Andre Johnson. He’s not the guy from Outkast either. This guy actually has skills. There’s also that guy that throws it to them named Matt Schaub.
All these offensive guys are some of the best in the entire NFL, but that’s not their problem. They have the LAST ranked passing defense in the NFL, and that hurts them weekly.
Luckily for the Texans, the Titans have become worse every week, and they rank third worst in the NFL in passing offensive yards weekly only averaging 184 yards in the air per week.
The Texans and the NFL Football Betting Public need to remember not to disregard that old guy named Randy Moss. I would expect them to take some shots this week and every week left this season
Chris Johnson is not going to get his back-to-back 2,000 yard seasons he wanted, but he is another guy that you need to focus on.
Houston did just that the first time they faced them this year holding Johnson to a CAREER LOW 7 yards on 5 carries. Chris will eat in this game, so watch out for CJ being a hundys guy in this one.
Tennessee has lost 6 straight games, and every week I see them they look like they’re worse I swear. The Football Betting Lines have been reflecting this, but I don’t think they have enough.
I don’t expect them to look very good this week against the Texans even though Houston gives free points and yardage to all teams.
Football Betting Advice – Bet Houston +1 ½ over Tennessee, and Bet Houston/Tennessee OVER 47 Total Points
