Football Betting – Indianapolis Colts Next Casualty Is Jacksonville!
October 3, 2010
From a Football Betting perspective, there is not a whole lot to like about the Jacksonville Jaguars. Sure, they have a win this season but even in that game, they didn’t look good.
The Colts on the other hand are once again proving that they are Football Betting Gold.

The Indianapolis Colts started the season with a loss to Houston but have since woken up and are the dominating force that we have come to expect. Peyton Manning is having another MVP caliber season, the running game is bad and Bob Sanders is injured – pretty standard!
The offense has been clicking all season and Peyton Manning is scorching. He has 1013 yards passing, nine touchdowns and zero interceptions so far this season. On Sunday, Manning faces a team that he’s absolutely owned. He is 13-4 against Jacksonville and in his last three; he’s tossed for 973 yards and eight touchdowns.
Get ready Austin Collie, Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark, Manning is going to torch Jacksonville’s 29th ranked pass defense.
Defensively, the Colts are OK against the run and not so good against the pass (Kyle Orton passed for 476 yards last week). It’s OK though, the Jacksonville passing game is no real threat at all.
As mentioned, the Jacksonville Jaguars are a mess offensively. They are averaging 13.3 points per game so far this season and their previously staunch running game is ranked 17th in the NFL. David Gerrard is bad and Maurice Jones-Drew is banged up. Football Betting is cruel if you are a Jacksonville Jaguars supporter!
Jacksonville’s run defense has been OK so far – the Colts won’t run the ball anyway! The Jags currently have the 29th ranked pass defense – that could pose some problems.
Football Betting Outlook:
Indianapolis is 7-1 ATS in their last eight games on the road, is 9-1 S/U in their division, and is 5-1 S/U against Jacksonville and in Jacksonville. The Colts are 12-6-1 ATS in their last 19 overall.
Jacksonville is 4-6 S/U in their division, is 10-25 ATS overall in their last 35 games, is 4-14 ATS in their last 18 at home and is 2-2 ATS in their last four meetings with Indianapolis.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are going to have to score 35 points in this game to keep close to the Indianapolis Colts. That’s nearly 3X their points per game average this year. To be blunt, Indianapolis is a great team and Jacksonville is a bad one.
Football Betting Pick: Indianapolis Colts -7 ½
