Football Betting – Green Bay vs San Francisco

December 4, 2010

San Francisco probably enjoyed their week after a Monday Night Football game that was a joke to the NFL and NFL Football Betting public.

This NFL Betting scenario is a little tricky, because Green Bay won’t need to be an offensive monster to take down this shell of a team.

San Francisco 49ers (4-7) at Green Bay Packers (7-4) – Sunday, Dec. 5 at 1:00 ET (FOX-TV)

Lambeau Field (73,128) – Green Bay, Wisconsin

Football Betting Line:

San Francisco 49ers (5-6 ATS) +9 (ML +350)

Green Bay Packers (6-5 ATS) -9 (ML -450)

Over/Under Total – 41

San Francisco should be rested after Monday Night’s free pass. They’re going to be hurting after this game, but your money clip should feel good after this Football Betting Advice.
San Francisco only stands a chance to make the NFL Playoffs this year because they’re in the NFC West Division which is the worst in the league by far.

Coach Singletary’s ragged ass team looks bad enough without losing the BEST and most productive player on the team.

Frank Gore is out for the season with a hip fracture which effectively ends the 49ers season in my opinion. Gore accounted for more than a third of San Fran’s offense. OUCH!!

NFL Football Betting Lines have already adjusted for this major loss. Running Backs Brian Westbrook and Anthony Dixon will try to replace some of that offensive firepower.

I think they’re more worried about who to call ‘Thunder’ and who to call ‘Lightning.’ They may as well call them ‘Season’ and ‘Over’.

The quarterback situation this year has been painful to watch as a 49er fan. Troy Smith is not an NFL quarterback, and I’m sure the replacement coach will take steps to do SOMETHING to rectify this one of many shabby situations.

The strength (if that’s what you would call it) of San Francisco is the defense holding teams under 100 yards on the ground average. Green Bay averages less than 100 yards rushing offensively, so that’s a nice little fit.

Aaron Rodgers is BIG problems for this team. He torched them for 344 yards last year in Green Bay. I would expect the Packers to run a more controlled and conservative game plan against a team that doesn’t stand much of a chance for a win.

Green Bay ranks in the NFL Top 10 for passing yards allowed per game. They could easily keep Troy the Boy Smith under 100 yards passing, and it wouldn’t surprise me. This Football Betting Advice is right in line with this.

The 49ers haven’t beaten the Packers at Lambeau Field since 1990. I don’t see anything that would change that this year. The Packers will lengthen and beat them down without much effort.

I don’t think this is going to be exciting to watch, especially if you’re from San Francisco.
