Here are some of the trends as they impact football betting on this game:

· Minnesota has lost four of its last six games SU
· Minnesota has covered two of its last nine games
· Minnesota has played four of its last six games UNDER the total
· Minnesota has lost nine of its last ten road games SU
· Minnesota has covered one of its last five road games
· Philadelphia has played nine of its last ten games OVER the total
· Philadelphia has won six of its last seven games SU
· Philadelphia has played ten of its last 15 home games OVER the total
· Philadelphia has won four of its last five home games SU

As you probably know by now, the game that was originally scheduled for Sunday night in Philadelphia was moved to Tuesday, and it wasn’t necessarily because the conditions on the field weren’t right for football, although there was snow and high winds, but there was more of a concern for the parking conditions and the traffic around the stadium, as the city was in the midst of a blizzard, and expecting even more.

So football bettors anxious to see Michael Vick have had to wait another couple of days.

Here are the head-to-head football betting trends that have a bearing on this game:

· Philadelphia has won and covered the last five meetings
· Philadelphia has won and covered the last six meetings as the home team

Minnesota’s offense has been amazing inefficient, and that would seem inconceivable for a club with Adrian Peterson in the lineup (at least most of the time). The Vikings have had to gain 18.4 yards for every point they have scored, and as you are aware, they were not moving at warp speed even when Brett Favre was comparatively healthy.

Now, no one seems to be healthy. This has been an arduous season, and by the way, for those football bettors who were interested in Favre’s status, he has not passed any of the tests that are necessary after last week’s concussion and the team did not plan on taking those tests.

Favre also told NBC that it was best for him not to play. "There’s a fine line between being tough and stupid. I finally need to think about my future life," is what he was heard to say. Maybe all the silly speculation about him is at an end.

Which would leave us with Joe Webb, who would certainly like to be like Michael Vick some day. Webb had to step in after Favre was knocked out of last week’s game against Chicago, although he should have been starting the game in the first place.

Webb is very mobile, and indeed scored a touchdown run, but football bettors should know that he is still a work in progress as a passer, and went 15 of 26 for 129 yards and two interceptions against the Bears.

The good news for the Vikings is that Adrian Peterson has been cleared to play after a thigh bruise, and he will likely be counted on extensively. That won’t guarantee great results, as Philadelphia will likely stack the line and force Webb to throw. This is a "sandwich" of sorts for the Eagles, who have clinched the NFC East title; they turn around and face Dallas on Sunday.

Snow is not likely on Tuesday night and neither are high winds, so the weather should be relatively agreeable. But unless Webb becomes productive all of a sudden, we don’t know that football bettors can expect the Eagles to continue this current string that has seen them playing nine overs in the last ten games.

JAY’S PLAY: UNDER 42 **
