Football Betting – Dorothy from Wizard of Oz has Nothing on Vikings
December 28, 2010
This blizzard Bowl at Philadelphia with the Minnesota Vikings may have been moved to Tuesday, but that just adds another day of NFL Football Betting for all of us. Isn’t this great?
Vikings are on their third week in a row flying by the seat of their pants with changes in airports, cities, fields and personnel.

The bad news was that the only Sunday Night Football we had was a scrub NCAA Bowl Game.
The good news is that FIU and Toledo game went from sleeper to killer in a 34-32 FIU win.
The great news is that we have an EXTRA day of NFL Football Betting on Tuesday night this week unless it gets postponed again hahahahahahhhah.
Both the Vikings and the Eagles have varying issues going into this game with the importance factor weighing heavily on Philadelphia.
The Eagles clinched their first NFC East Division win after the Giants got used by the Green Bay Packers 45-17 this Sunday.
The issue weighing on the Eagles is the fact they now have to play two NFL games in 5 days in this final week of the regular season.
They’ve already clinched a #2 or #3 seed in the NFC betting, but the #2 seed comes with that all important bye week the first week of the playoffs. It will also make them a bigger favorite in Super Bowl Football Betting.
If the Eagles (10-4) beat both the Vikings and Dallas at home next week, they need the Chicago Bears (11-4) to lose to the Packers next week for that coveted week off in the playoffs. The Bears beat the Eagles earlier in the season and hold the tiebreaker over Philly.
Minnesota can’t seem to get away from changed games even when they play out of town this year.
The collapse of the Metrodome two weeks ago forced the Vikings to play their “home” game a day later on Monday night in Detroit’s Ford Field.
Football Betting should take into account how tiring these changes can be. Last week the Vikings didn’t change dates but had to play their Monday Night Football game at the University of Minnesota campus at TCF Bank Stadium.
They must feel like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz without all the perks of flying monkeys, good and evil witches and a talking scarecrow, tin man and lion. IF I ONLY HAD A HOME…….
Every scenario I look at comes back to the Eagles having so much to play for and the Vikings just wanting to go back to Kansas…uh, I mean Minnesota.
The Vikings have scored 13, 3, 17, 38, 3 and 14 points in their last 6 games. The 38 points doesn’t really count, because that was against the Buffalo Bills.
