The NCAA football line expert trends favor the Gators in this game.
- The Florida Gators are 12 and 3 in their last 15 games as a road favorite.
- The Florida Gators are 13 and 4 ATS in their last 17 road games.

- The Vanderbilt Commodores are 0 and 4 ATS versus a team with a winning record.
Florida’s victory over Georgia was very impressive. The Bulldogs were riding a 3 game winning streak, including a 43 to 0 pasting of Vanderbilt, going into that game. The Gators didn’t shut down Georgia’s offense but they did hold the Bulldogs to less than 40 points, something that hadn’t been done in 3 straight games.
Florida’s D is actually very good. Although Georgia, Alabama and LSU scored 30 points against the Gators this season, Tennessee, Kentucky and Mississippi State, all high-scoring average teams, couldn’t muster 20 points against the Gators. Florida shouldn’t have a problem shutting down a Vanderbilt team that averages only 18.9 points per game.
When it comes to Florida’s offense versus Vanderbilt’s defense, forget it. The Gators showed in their victory over Georgia that they have made the necessary adjustments on offense to contend for the SEC East Division. Now that Florida is back to their offensive stud ways, the Gators racked up 450 total yards against Georgia, Vanderbilt’s D will be in trouble throughout this game.
The Commodores’ defense just doesn’t appear good enough to hold the Gators to below 35 to 42 points in this game. Vanderbilt allows, on average, 28 points per game. The D gives up 414 yards, on average, per game. That’s a lot of points and a lot of yards. Florida figures to exploit the Commodores’ defensive woes in this game on Saturday.
Every way I look at this game, I come to the same conclusion. The Florida Gators should be able to cover the 14 ½ point NCAA football line spread versus the Vanderbilt Commodores on Saturday, Nov. 6th. Florida is simply the better team and, finally, they’ve gotten their offense on track.
Expect the Gators to blow out Vandy when the two teams hit the field in this SEC showdown.
