Florida Gators Climbing From NCAAB Betting Obscurity; Host Vanderbilt
February 2, 2011
Don’t look now but the Florida Gators are building some momentum, cracking the rankings and gaining a bit of love as an NCAAB betting darling in the SEC. It helps that they have a rich history of owning Vanderbilt on their campus court, and considering that they got off to such a poor start, the Gators need to keep momentum on their side.
Of course, Vanderbilt would love to get some of the momentum they started the season with back.

The Commodores are just 4-3 SU and 1-4-1 ATS in their last 7 games and their defense has fallen apart after being responsible for a promising start. Vanderbilt is also 1-9 SU in their last 10 visits to Florida, which isn’t good if you’re hoping for a turn around on Vanderbilt’s part.
#24 Vanderbilt Commodores (15-5) vs. #23 Florida Gators (16-5)
Tuesday, February 1st – Stephen O’Connell Center — 9:00pm EST
NCAAB Betting Line: Florida -4.0
The Gators, meanwhile, is coming off a rough loss to Mississippi State after burning their fuel reserves in a 104-91 victory over the Georgia Bulldogs late last week. Considering how bad Florida has been for the last few years, people can’t help but become a little endeared with Florida especially considering they play such offensively minded basketball.
That poses a big threat to Vanderbilt, who haven’t been able to stop a nose bleed in the past few weeks. Florida is just 2-6 ATS at home, but the Commodores are in a very rough stretch right now and the Gators can take the home court advantage and stomp a nice cover in NCAAB betting picks tonight against a conference rival.

BONUS PICKS
MISSIPPI REBELS +6.5 over #11 Kentucky Wildcats
Kentucky owns the Rebels, but just not in NCAAB betting terms. The Wildcats are 9-1 SU and 5-5 ATS when playing Mississippi and the number has come down by about two-points in the last few hours, largely because Kentucky is still such a huge public team. Don’t get caught on the wrong side here. Kentucky is not as strong as they usually are and they’re not trust worthy on the road entirely.
#2 Kansas Jayhawks -13.5 over TEXAS TECH RED RAIDERS
Overall Kansas has a record of just 6-12-1 ATS in their last 19 road games but they’re also undefeated in their past 5 games on the road. They have some business to clear up after going just 2-4 SU and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games when visting Texas Tech and the distance between these two teams is a country mile. That’s why Kansas is a solid play in NCAAB betting picks regardless of the massive number on the game.
