Final Four Prediction – Create 3-Team 5 ½ point Teaser

It’s time to use my Final 4 predictions for this Saturday’s National Semifinal games to score a sweet teaser wager at above 100% profit in the sportsbook.

A 5 ½ point 3-Team teaser pays quite well and adding, or subtracting, 5 ½ points to three teams that you like isn’t always a bad thing.  In fact, sometimes, it can be the right wager to make.  Think of it as an exotic play on the Final Four.

National Semi-Finals

VCU Rams (28-11) vs. Butler Bulldogs (27-9)

Kentucky Wildcats (29-8) vs. Connecticut Huskies (30-9)

Where:  Reliant Stadium, Houston, Texas

When:   April 2 – VCU vs. Butler at 6:09 pm EST

                           Kentucky vs. Connecticut at 8:49 pm EST

TV:  CBS

Final Four:  National Semi-Finals Teaser Bet

VCU Rams vs. Butler Bulldogs

NCAAB Odds:  VCU +8

Analysis:  There’s no reason for me to jump off of the VCU wagon now, is there?  Since I believe that VCU is an excellent bet, and my Final Four pick, to beat Butler in the first National Semi-Final, why would I even consider not taking the 5 ½ points in my teaser bet and putting it on VCU?  Getting VCU at +8 sure looks good considering that they’ve beaten USC, Georgetown, Purdue, Florida State and Kansas straight up as an underdog in the sportsbook.  VCU beat Kansas by 10 points, 71 to 61, as an 11 point dog.  Unless you really, really like Butler, getting so many points on a team that’s proven itself in the NCAA Tournament is just too good to pass up.

Kentucky Wildcats vs. Connecticut Huskies

NCAAB Odds:  Connecticut +8

Analysis:  Connecticut not only faces a team that they beat before, but they face a team that may be feeling a bit worn out after tackling Ohio State and North Carolina.  The Wildcats beat Ohio State 62 to 60.  Then, they looked terrific against North Carolina in a 76 to 69 victory.  The Wildcats are definitely a good team but I’ve got Connecticut as my Final Four predictions 2011 pick to win the second National Semi straight up.  Why wouldn’t I go ahead and take the 5 ½ points on them for my teaser bet?  UConn should absolutely keep the game close and, like in the VCU vs. Butler game, since I feel that the Huskies will win straight up, adding them to the 3-Team teaser is a no-brainer.

Potential NBA Teams to Add to 3-Team Teaser

Chicago Bulls ATS vs. Toronto – - The Bulls will be double-digit favorites but take away 5 ½ points and suddenly covering appears doable.

Philadelphia 76’ers ATS vs. Milwaukee Bucks – - Philly will be the road team.  They’re 23-15-1 on the road going into Wednesday night.

Oklahoma City Thunder ATS vs. Los Angeles Clippers – - Clippers have been awful against the spread lately and the line should be fair considering that OKC will be on the road.

Golden State Warriors ATS vs. Dallas Mavericks – - The Warriors always play the Mavs tough in Oakland.  GS could win the game straight up and they will be a home dog.
