Exotic Bets for NFL Parlay Picks

December 16, 2010

This week we’re making NFL parlay picks with teams from the top of the league.

These six teams are all either in the divisional lead or in the hunt for a playoff spot so every game is a must win and a loss would be magnified come the end of the season. We’ll make three NFL parlay picks from the Eagles-Giants NFC East showdown, the Saints-Ravens and the Jets-Steelers AFC clash.

Philadelphia Eagles +3 -120

Game Total 46

New York Giants -3 +100

The Eagles have been spectacular since Michael Vick took the reins. They’ve won five of their past six games on the strength of their brilliant offense. Vick has utilized LeSean McCoy, DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin to turn the Eagles into the number two scoring offense in the league. The trouble with the Eagles is their Swiss cheese defense.

The Giants are fourth in the league in yards gained and more importantly, they are the second best team in the league in yards allowed. Eli Manning should rip apart the Eagles secondary in this game. He should have Hakeem Nicks and Steve Smith back, giving him a couple extra targets. Look for the Giants defense step up and contain the Eagles offense enough to win this game by a field goal or more.

New Orleans Saints +1½ -110

Game Total 43½

Baltimore Ravens -1½ -110

The Baltimore Ravens offense hasn’t played well, it’s true the offense scored 28 on Monday night but against the Texans, it seems everybody can score 28. The defense looked wore out by the end of the game against Houston. The Saints have scored 30+ points in five straight games and even with the Ravens at home, they should push Baltimore’s defense to its limits. I don’t have confidence Ravens’ offense to move the ball against the Saints defense that’s allowing less than a point more per game than the Ravens.

New York Jets +5½ -110

Game Total 36

Pittsburgh Steelers -5½ -110

The world is collapsing around the New York Jets. First, they had their asses handed to them by the New England Patriots, and then they couldn’t move the ball against the Miami Dolphins ferocious defense. Nothing has worked right for the Jets. It’s been so bad that they even had their strength and conditioning coach trying to make tackles for them.

The Steelers are playing brilliant defense, Ben Roethlisberger is doing just enough offensively to get the Steelers Ws.

The Steelers should exploit the Jet’s defense and Mark Sanchez should hook up with the Steelers secondary for a few pick sixes. The Steelers dominate this one.

Our NFL parlay picks this week include the Steelers -5½, the New Orleans Saints +1½ and the New York Football Giants at -3 points.
