The Eastern Michigan Eagles and Miami Ohio Redhawks may not be two of the biggest names in college football, but NCAAF betting enthusiasts should know that Saturday’s contest between the two schools looks like it represents one of the best NCAAF picks on the docket for the entire Week 2 college gridiron schedule.

Eastern Michigan (0-1 SU, 1-0 ATS, 1-0 O/U)
- Eagles are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 road games vs. a team with a losing home record.
- Eagles are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 conference games.
- Eagles are 3-11 ATS in their last 14 games in September.
The Eagles went 0-12 SU and 4-8 ATS in head coach Ron English’s first season at the helm in 2009 and lost a heart-breaker to Army on Saturday, falling 31-27 at home while failing miserably to cover the NCAAF Odds as a 9.5-point home favorite.
Sophomore quarterback, Alex Gillett completed 4 of 9 passes for 31 yards with one TD pass and one interception while running 18 times for 126 yards and another touchdown. Senior running back Dwayne Priest rushed 26 times for 142 yards with two scores.

Miami Ohio (0-1 SU, 1-0 ATS, 0-1 O/U)
- Redhawks are 6-14 ATS in their last 20 conference games.
- Redhawks are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 home games.
- Redhawks are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games in September.
The Redhawks went 1-11 SU and 5-7 ATS last season and got their 2010 campaign off to a bad start by getting smacked around by the Miami Hurricanes in Saturday’s 34-12 road loss.
Miami Ohio failed to cash in as a 38-point NCAAF undedog pick as sophomore quarterback Zac Dysert threw a whopping four interceptions and the team rushed for a grand total of four yards.
Analysis: I know the Miami of Ohio Redhawks are playing at home in this contest, but the fact of the matter is that they really aren’t much better than Eastern Michigan, if at all.
The two rivals haven’t played since they last met way back in 2005 and Miami walked away with a narrow one-point victory.
This time around, I’m backing the Eastern Michigan Eagles to cover the high point spread in this contest with room to spare.
I don’t think Miami will have an answer for EMU’s Dwayne Priest and the Eagles will not only keep it closer than expected, but actually give the Redhawks a good scare as they shoot for their first victory since 2008.
The Bets NCAAF Pick for this contest is to play the Eastern Michigan Eagles to cover the college football spread as a whopping 14-point road underdog.
