Eastern Conference Parlay Picks – Knicks and Magic in Action

Knicks At Home Hosting Nets…And More!

Portland Trailblazers +2 over INDIANA PACERS
The days of Indiana’s spread busting are over. Either they’re tanking, or they still haven’t rediscovered the groove they had on offense when Danny Granger was at full pace. The Pacers are now 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games and though they have surged to a 5-2 ATS record at home, I don’t like their chances against a peaking Blazers team.

Over the last 10 games, the Blazers have gone 7-3 SU. The road has not been their best friend, but this offence is one of the best in the league as of late. Overall this season, they have averaged 98.9 points per game, but have also shut teams down thanks to a balanced line-up that can stop nearly anyone. The Blazers give up just 95.2 points per game.

The Pacers meanwhile are coming off three straight losses to Utah at home, while getting smoked by 14 points on the road in Atlanta and getting smothered by Toronto with a -23 point margin up North. The Blazers are visibly a much better team and though their road record is shoddy as of late, Portland will need to secure a win down the home stretch. The Pacers are now just canon fodder.

NEW YORK KNICKS -7 over New Jersey Nets
Without Devin Harris, you can say goodbye to betting on the Nets. New Jersey is a paltry 0-4-1 ATS in their last 5 games, and have gone an unforgivable 1-4 ATS in their last 5 on the road. Meanwhile, Nate Robinson and the Knicks have gone 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 games and are playing at Madison Square Garden tonight.

Surprisingly most of the success for New York has come on the road, as a 1-4 ATS haunts them at home. With the league’s fourth best home offense in hand, averaging 108.5 points per game at MSG, the betting faithful for the Knicks can rest assured that New Jersey won’t give them any trouble with a marginally wide spread.

MILWUAKEE BUCKS +6 over Orlando Magic
Last night, the Magic got a peak at the Eastern Conference Finals that obviously go through LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. They let one slip away, kicking off their road trip in a bad way by losing 97-93 to The King. Now they have to visit a Milwaukee team that averages 103.8 points per game at home, good enough for tenth in the league.

Charlie V got slammed by Scott Skiles for twittering at half time (updating a short, online blog) but all that did was motivate Shrek’s stunt double to up his intensity. Milwaukee hasn’t been a good bet at home lately, gong 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home stands but I bet that they make some noise against an Orlando team that was pushed to the limits last night by the Cavs. Milwaukee hasn’t played since Sunday, so rest is on their side while the Magic battle fatigue and travel.
