Eastern Conference Finals Preview – Magic at Cavaliers
March 17, 2009
Streaking Howard, Magic Visit Even Hotter Cavaliers and King James
The Orlando Magic (49-17 SU, 42-23-1 ATS, 32-34 O/U) have won three straight games while covering the spread in each contest.
The Cleveland Cavaliers (53-13 SU, 42-24 ATS, 29-37 O/U) have won fight straight games but have gone an unimpressive 1-4 against the spread during the span.
Tonight, one team’s winning streak will come to an abrupt halt when the two Eastern Conference powers square off at Quicken Loans Arena.
The Magic routed the Utah Jazz 105-87 to cover the spread as a 5.5-point home favorite on Sunday while the combined score checked in Under the posted over/under total (203).
All-star center Dwight Howard recorded a double-double by scoring a team-high 28 points while pulling down 20 rebounds for Orlando.
The Cavaliers beat the New York Knicks 98-93 on Sunday but failed to cover the spread for BetOnline NBA sports betting backers as a 10-point home favorite while the 191 combined points played Under the posted O/U total of 210.5 points.
All-star point guard Mo Williams scored a team-high 23 points while superstar forward LeBron James approached a triple-double with 19 points, eight rebounds and 10 assists.

Cleveland Cavaliers -6 -110
Over 192½ -110
Under 192½ -110
Analysis: The Cleveland Cavaliers are the right pick to win this game at home tonight, but I like the Orlando Magic to bring their collective ‘A’ game and cover the spread against the Cavs while sending a message to both, Cleveland and Boston that they are going to be a factor in the fight for the Eastern Conference title this postseason.
The Magic have covered the spread in three straight against the Cavs and will make it four tonight as these teams play Under the posted O/U total for the third straight time.
NBA Free Picks: Orlando +6 Points/Under 192½ Total Points
