Eagles at Bears – NFL Betting Lines
November 27, 2010
Probably the best team in the NFC, the Philadelphia Eagles, visit the three-point home underdogs Chicago Bears this Sunday at 4:15 PM ET at Soldier Field in a interesting NFC matchup.
NFL Betting Lines:
Philadelphia Eagles +3
Chicago Bears -3
O/U 42
The Eagles stole the “best team in the conference” nickname from the NY Giants last week when they beat them 27-17, and despite that Michael Vick didn’t record a passing TD through the air, he ran for one, and most importantly, he didn’t commit a single mistake with the ball in his hands.

NFL betting fans are enjoying how Vick is playing as he leads the NFL with a 108.7 passer rating and has 191 attempts without an interception. Plus he has some unique playmakers in LeSean McCoy and DeSean Jackson who actually can match his speed down the field.
The task for the Eagles won’t be an easy one because they will face a defense that leads the league in points allowed, averaging 14.6 points a game, and ranking second in rush defense permitting 78.0 yards, and third in total defense. However, to be honest, the Bears are yet to play a scrambling threat like Vick this season.
The Bears can’t afford to lose against the Eagles because they are tied for first place of the NFC North with the Green Bay Packers and they need to win to have at least one game at home if they want to go deep into the playoffs, assuming by the way that they are going to the postseason.
Keep in mind that the Eagles defense is superb as they rank first with 19 interceptions in the NFL and have recorded 16 sacks in five road games. Also consider that in the Bears last four wins the combined record of those teams is 11-29.
The betting trends says Chicago is 1-5 ATS off win by 14+ pts and Philadelphia is 2-0 ATS as a road favorite of 3 points or less.
Simmons’ pick: take the Eagles.
