Draft Pick Battle – Memphis Grizzlies vs. Golden State Warriors

March 30, 2009

The Memphis Grizzlies (18-54 SU, 30-41-1 ATS, 34-38 O/U) and the Golden State Warriors (25-48 SU, 33-36-3 ATS, 40-32 O/U) battle at the Oracle Arena tonight at 10:30 PM ET.

The Grizzlies looked awful in their 86-66 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday, failing to cover the spread as 12.5-point road underdogs while the combined score checked in Under the posted Over/Under total of 191 points.

Rookie shooting guard O.J. Mayo scored a team-high 12 points as only he and fellow rookie, center Marc Gasol (10 points) were the only two players to reach double figures in scoring.

The Warriors lost their fourth consecutive game by falling to the Denver Nuggets 129-116 on Saturday as 12-point road underdogs while the combined score played well Over the posted O/U total of 228 points.

Veteran guard Jamal Crawford scored a team-high 30 points in a losing effort.

Under 221½ -110

Analysis: While both teams come into tonight’s contest riding multiple-game losing streaks, the Golden State Warriors can at least score the basketball almost at will on most nights.

The Memphis Grizzlies have not topped the 100-point mark in five straight games and will fall to the up-tempo style that Warriors head coach Don Nelson loves to employ.

NBA Free Picks: Warriors -5½ Points/Under 221½ Total Points
