Don’t Sleep on Kansas State – Cyclones at Wildcats
February 3, 2009
The reeling Iowa State Cyclones (12-9 SU, 7-8-1 ATS, 8-7 O/U) have lost four consecutive games in the BetOnline Sportsbook, going an unimpressive 0-3-1 ATS in the process.
The Kansas State Wildcats (14-7 SU, 5-8-1 ATS, 6-8 O/U) have strung together three consecutive victories coming into tonight’s matchup, covering the spread in each of their last two contests for BetOnline NCAAB betting backers.
Tonight, both teams will be looking to pick up an SU and ATS victory when they battle at Bramlage Coliseum tonight.
6-10 sophomore forward Craig Brackins totaled 19 points and 10 rebounds for Iowa State in their 78-68 loss to Oklahoma on Saturday afternoon. The Cyclones failed to cover the 9-point spread in the BetOnline Sportsbook while the final score played OVER the game’s posted O/U total of 135 points.
Senior point guard Denis Clemente toasted the Texas Longhorns with a whopping 44 points on 13-for-25 shooting in its 85-81 overtime win on Saturday to help the Wildcats cover the spread as a 10-point road underdog in the BetOnline Sportsbook.
Clemente shot a perfect 6-for-6 from downtown and 12-for-12 from the free throw line to help the Wildcats shoot a blistering 66.7 percent from beyond the arc (10-for-15).

Analysis: The line for this contest might look a bit on the high side, but the fact of the matter is that Iowa State is pretty pathetic and should fall by at least 15 points in this contest.
I know Kansas State doesn’t have a huge national profile, but this team can put the ball in the hole with almost any team in the country and should be able to score enough points against the lowly Cyclones to make a cover stand up.
NCAAB Free Picks: Kansas State -12½ Points
