Denver vs San Diego – Free Betting Tips
November 22, 2010
The San Diego Chargers are in the midst of another late season charge to the top of the AFC West standings. This year though, they may have waited a little too long because the Kansas City Chiefs and the Oakland Raiders are no longer doormats in the division. Still after watching this team win 11 straight, it’s too soon to count the Chargers out of any divisional race.
This Monday night, the Chargers take on the AFC West’s last place Denver Broncos at home. It should be a cakewalk for SD but let’s look at the lines, the teams and some free betting tips before we make a Monday Night Football betting prediction.

Monday night’s game should be an all-out aerial assault as the top two quarterbacks in the league are playing tonight.
Free Betting Tips – The Broncos are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 vs. AFC.
Philip Rivers is on pace to break Dan Marino’s NFL single season record of 5084 passing yards. Rivers’ 2944 in 9 games has him on pace for 5234 yards for the season. He’s completing 65.4% of his passes and has tossed 19 TDs and 8 interceptions.
His counterpart Monday night Kyle Orton has been putting up almost as staggering numbers but Orton’s numbers is coming through necessity. The Broncos are 3-6 on the season and are allowing opponents to score 28 points a game, 30th in the league. Orton is forced to play catch-up, to make up for the lousy defense.
Free Betting Tips – Broncos are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
Orton is completing 62% of his passes for 2805 yards, 16 TDs and just 5 interceptions. He’s coming off one of the best games of his career. He threw for 296 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions in a 49-29 beat down of the Chiefs.
The Chargers defense has the horses to shut down Orton and the Broncos. San Diego leads the NFL in passing defense, limiting opposing quarterbacks to just 185.1 yards a game. It all starts with the pass rush, coming into week 11, the Chargers were tied for second with 27 sacks.
Free Betting Tips – Favorite is 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 meetings.
The Broncos offensive line has given up four sacks in two of the past three games. It could be a rough night for Orton against the Chargers.
Free Betting Tips – Chargers are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games in November.
The Broncos wins this year have come against the Seahawks, the Chiefs and Titans, all teams with bad pass defenses. The Chargers have the best, look for Rivers to run up the score in the first two quarters and then cruise through the second half. The Broncos won’t manage another huge offensive outburst like we saw last week against the Chiefs. Take the Chargers to cover the 8½ points and chalk up another victory in their latest charge to an AFC West title.
