Daily NBA Free Picks – San Antonio Spurs Take Undefeated Streak In To Orlando
December 24, 2010
Unlike their counterparts, the San Antonio Spurs are sticking with what they have as they continue to be a stalwart on the floor and in NBA free picks. Losing has almost become a common practice in Orlando before and after their blockbuster deals revamped their roster for a third consecutive year. So why the hell are the Magic being touted as favorites against the best team in the league?
Honestly, I have no idea. Al Horford said it best when he said that the Magic are the same team with different faces. On paper, shifting Hedo Turkoglu back in, but ridding themselves of Rashard Lewis, was a big mistake because part of what made both players valuable in Orlando was that they played together. Turkoglu has added little to no value since dusting off his Magic jersey, and has just 8.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in full minutes.

And while moving Vince Carter and replacing him with Jason Richardson/Gilbert Arenas seems like a stretchy play in the books, it certainly hasn’t evolved the value of Orlando in NBA free picks. Arenas is the dark horse in this trade, but the problem is that Orlando is so stacked talent wise that he has to adapt his entire game to accommodate the players around him.

That’s a situation he’s never really been in, since he was largely the go-to guy in Washington before his legs and career completely fell apart. I like Richardson, but he’s another player that Steve Nash turned in to a star. The Magic are still just 1-8 SU and ATS in their last 9 NBA free picks.
Aside from a ten-game winning streak, the Spurs haven’t been a great bet overall, but as road dogs I love them. They’re just 5-5 ATS so the oddsmakers have been tracking them tightly, but you simply can’t make a wager on the Magic in NBA free picks until we see them turn in to the contender they’re supposed to be in the post-trade.

Milwaukee Bucks -2.0 over SACREMENTO KINGS
The Bucks exploded against the Lakers to show that they can win without Brandon Jennings. If they can come through against all odds in NBA free picks against the second-best team in the West, then they can certainly give the 0-5 SU and 1-4 ATS Kings some big troubles. I don’t know what’s wrong with Tyreke Evans and DeMarcus Cousins, but they better figure things out fast.
Miami Heat -6.5 over PHOENIX SUNS
I can guarantee that when Vince Carter envisioned playing the loaded Miami Heat, he didn’t expect to be surrounded by a serious lack of talent. The Suns will put their newfound roster on display in a home game against the Miami Heat who have gone just 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games. But if we’ve learned anything in NBA free picks, it’s that you can’t trust any team that is toting a new roster so take Miami to build some momentum en route to their Christmas Day matchup against the Lakers.
