Analysis:  Justice Is Brief broke a 6 race losing streak in her last, a 1 mile race over this turf course at the $32,000 level.  Now, she shows up in this $40,000 level looking to make it two in a row.

She took the lead in her last and held on under the guidance of jockey Tyler Baze.  Talamo did an excellent job with her, but the key in handicapping this race is to decide whether or not Talamo gets the right pace setup again.  There doesn’t appear to be that much speed.  So, Tyler should go for the lead again in this race.

The key for Justice Is Brief will be separation because the jockey who takes the call on Lupita’sluckyangel is a very good one.  That would be Corey Nakatani who knows the Hollywood turf course about as well as any jockey in the United States.  What will Nakatani do aboard Lupita’sluckyangel?

It looks like Corey will have no other choice but to go after Justice Is Brief.  That gives Justice Is Brief a huge advantage in this race.

The last time these two met, Justice Is Brief was beaten by Lupita’sluckyangel by 1 ½ lengths.  That was in a race where Justice Is Brief stalked under Rafael Bejarano.

In her second race under Tyler Baze, Justice Is Brief figures to take the lead and force the hand of Corey Nakatani.  If Nakatani is set on taking the second place prize money, and he and his connections could very well be okay with that given the purse money up for grabs and the fact that this is a $40,000 claimer, then Justice Is Brief will have things her own way on the lead.

She’s a very solid wager in this matchup.
