Colts at Raiders Playoff Implications – Online Sportsbook Smart Bet

December 26, 2010

Many of your plays against the Online Betting Sportsbook line are now dealing with NFL Playoff scenarios, and you need to take this into account when making your major wagering decisions.

Oakland has an outside chance to make the NFL Playoffs, but they have to win out. Indianapolis can’t afford to lose a game either, or they could be sent to the back of the bus.

Indianapolis Colts (8-6) at Oakland Raiders (7-7) – Sunday December 26 at 4:05 ET

Online Sportsbook Line:

Indianapolis Colts (7-6-1 ATS) -3 +105 (ML -150)

Oakland Raiders (7-7 ATS) +3 -125 (ML +130)

Over/Under Total – 47

This game is a Big Daddy, and I’m not just talking about all the illegitimate kids there.

The Raiders still have a chance to make the playoffs, and you cannot count them out with Darren McFadden tearing up defenses with his speed and moves.

McFadden is averaging over 5 yards a carry and has over 1,000 yards for the season with 7 touchdowns. He has lead this Raiders running game to number 2 in the NFL averaging 157.5 yards a game rushing.

This is not good news for the Indianapolis Colts who are 27th against the run allowing an average of 135.8 yards a week. Expect the Raiders to pound the rock all day long, but will it be enough to cover the Online Sportsbook Line of Oakland plus 3 points.

Indianapolis is no surprise at number 1 in passing offense. Peyton Manning is still having a huge year getting through all these injuries on his team. He just keeps developing new young receivers.

Austin Collie is out for the season after getting yet another concussion last week. This is a huge blow to Manning as Collie has the most touchdown passes this year from Peyton even being out multiple games.

The good news for the Colts is the running game is alive again. Donald Brown had 100 yards plus rushing last week, and when the Colts have a guy over 100 yards, good luck beating them.

Oakland will try to throw a monkey in Peyton Manning’s barrel of fun. The Raiders are only allowing an average less than 200 yards a game passing which is the 5th ranked NFL passing defense.

Online Sportsbook Lines take matchups into account and what players may be exploited. The key matchup will be the Raiders cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha lined up against Hall-of-Fame wide receiver Reggie Wayne.

Nnamdi has been less than 100% with a sprained ankle, so they will be shooting him up with all kinds of go-go juice. Even if Wayne is limited, Manning always finds somebody especially if they have any rushing game.

Online Sportsbook Play – Bet Indianapolis -3 +105 over Oakland
