College Football Sports Betting: Oregon at UCLA

October 10, 2009

Even with Duck’s QB Jeremiah Masoli questionable for this Saturday Oregon is 3 points favorite as they visit the UCLA Bruins at 3:30 PM ET at Rose Bowl.

College Football Odds:

Oregon Ducks -3

UCLA Bruins +3

O/U 46

Masoli hurt his knee in last Saturday’s 52-6 win over Washington State and missed two days of practice this week. Duck’ coaching staff have him listed as a game time decision.

In that win over Washington State RB LaMichael James ran for 81 yards with 2 TDs and WR Ed Dickson with 103 receiving yards and 1 TD were top offensive targets of the game.

But the most impressive was that the Ducks ran for 273 yards and had five different players run for touchdowns.

On the other side UCLA suits up this weekend after losing their first of the season 24-16 against Stanford.
The Bruins didn’t turn the ball over once but they were held to just 95 rushing yards in the game. QB Kevin Craft was 22 of 34 for 204 yards and no touchdowns.  UCLA struggled all day on third-down conversions.

All college football sports betting fans should look for a few turnovers from either quarterback, in a game that could end up decided in the fourth quarter by a couple of points.

Oregon has split the last four meetings with UCLA; they beat the Bruins 31-24 on Oct. 11, 2008, as Masoli ran for a career-high 170 yards and a touchdown.

Keep in mind the Bruins are ranked last in the conference in passing with 706 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions.

My pick: Oregon by a field goal. Under.
